Good game. Some early complaints are valid but things are being updated quickly and I'm exited to see what is to come.

Early game is a lot of fun but mid to late game is honestly some of the worst content I've endured.

AI is pretty bad so don't auto resolve battles. Also combat is way to easy to manipulate to the point you can siege and take a city with less than 100 guys.

No point in exploring towns as they are lifeless and pointless. Just use the town screen to talk to anyone you want without having to enter a town.

The game just feel like it has so much to offer and so much depth until you get to mid game and realize its just the same grind that was once fun turned upside down. The economy makes no sense at all, no point in buying goods and traveling to a different city to sell because you can just fight another group and sell all of their gear for a larger amount.

One aspect I was really looking forward to was the lineage and passing on to the next character but it takes so long for time to pass in game that by the time your starting little brother and sister are old enough to join your party its already in the mid to late game stage and it feels pointless then.

I have really tried to like this game so badly, I LOVED Warband and I have been playing this off and on since early access but it just feels like the game never got finished and its honestly a huge let down because not many games that share this formula and style out there. Spend your time elsewhere and don't look back.

I do not have to tell you this is one of the greatest games of all time because the numbers this game has done alone speak to that, this has been the most fun I have had with a game in nearly a decade, it's the thing I am always coming back to while dabbling in other games I like.

The story is outstanding with amazing antagonists throughout the entire playtime. The companions are so well thought out and have so much depth to them (outside of maybe 1 or 2) it has been so fun exploring different sides of the same characters to see how they act as the story progresses. The music and art are seriously on another level I was blown away by several areas of the game and I cannot say it enough I was literally glued to my screen the entirety of Act 2.

I said it within my first 30 hours of gameplay that I think this is a game that I will continue to play for years to come and at this point I just know it's true. The combat and different class combinations add so much replay-ability that I find myself theory crafting builds at work or while going to sleep. It is a problem I need help.

I cannot recommend this game enough and as a long time fan of CRPGs I feel like this game has it all, I have like a year of actual DnD experience and if you are afraid of going in with no DnD knowledge don't be it does a great job at laying everything out for you and letting you test out what works for you. If you want a classic RPG feel with modern mechanics and graphics this is the one.

Wow this game hits the mark for every type of game I enjoy.

I won't lie the game itself is really hard. Very basic game play to understand but the amount of strategy that goes into every night is unlike anything I have played. I have seen a lot of reviews complaining about the difficulty and yes it can be frustrating but also extremely rewarding when you get a good run going.

The essence reward system is something that I think a lot of people are overreacting about. I think it is completely fair to have perks and buffs locked behind a reward system. It directly reflects your skill and ability to get further into each run to earn more essence. Games like Hades which is EXTREMELY popular has almost the exact same system for buffing your character.

My only major complaint about the game is the point I'm at right now I have been able to test every weapon and I just know that their are some weapons that are just never worth grabbing(short sword lol) but even then maybe some weapons are better for different towns and challenges i'm not 100% sure about that yet.

If you like Grid style turn based combat, town management, party management, and rougelike elements I highly recommend this game. I am 25 hours into the game and definitely see myself playing this for a long time. But be warned you WILL die a lot but if you stick with it you will get better and enjoy the game more and more.

Good game

At first The Outer Worlds is absolutely captivating it has amazing gun play, the graphics are outstanding, the different worlds all have unique designs that made me stop at stare at moments, and most of the characters are well written and voiced.

So why do I hate that I bought this game?

Well lets start with the length of the game. It took me a little over 19 hours to beat the entire main story plus all but 2 side quests. That is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. Most of the side quests are just snatch and grab, hell most of the main story is also, so it doesn't take long at all to completely 100% a planet.

Now on to the enemies, who the hell thought it would be okay to have enemies not respawn AT ALL in most areas of the game? It was so frustrating when I didn't really want to quest and wanted to explore and kill marauders and animals for loot and xp and literally couldn't do it. You don't even get to make use of most tier 3 skills because you get them so late into the game for it to matter. So instead of being able to grind for levels like most RPGs you have to accept that you wont level unless you quest. On top of all that after about 5 hours the game becomes incredibly easy. I started on normal and had to bump it up to hard after only a few hours because I was almost one shotting everything.

Now the biggest problem I have with this game is the replay value. Replay value is extremely important in RPGs but this game does not have it whatsoever. I tried so hard to get into another run with wacky builds and taking every flaw to make it hard but it couldn't save me from what I already understand about the game that it will be the same snatch and grab mission, the same boring enemies that once they die you never see again, the same awful pacing. It just doesn't have many redeeming qualities to push me into another campaign.

Most honest rating I would probably give it a 5/10. It just didn't keep my engaged and wanting more.

Stay away friends

Everyone expected ME:Andromeda to be a masterpiece but it wasn't. That's not to say the game is bad by all means I think the backlash on release day was uncalled for, it scared so many people away from playing it including me. But now as I play through it I realize that while this game has horrible animations at times it still has the best combat out of any in the series. The story to me is very interesting and I love being in charge of settlements and who I am waking up from cryo. The squadmates in this game are the strongest in the series as well. ME:2 is by far the best in the Mass Effect series but Andromeda honestly is a really good game that added so many more elements to gameplay and I'm really sad that this game failed so badly in the eyes of the customer as we will never see another Mass Effect game again now. Play this game and don't just jump on the hate train. It is worth the time.
