Traveller's Tales breathes new life into a very popular IP.

The world and its aesthetics

It's Gotham, dark and depressing, and the developers nailed it, especially Joker's wild themepark aesthetic. The hub is deceptively small.

For the Completionists

Slightly frustrating at times, sadly. Certain extras received updates to make completion smoother, though small issues with AI pathfinding and unexpected backflips when least needed caused a few hiccups. I recommend hunting down extras and suit upgrades that speed up the slow game mechanics you'll find while playing the story.

To summarise

✅Fresh story.
✅Combat received a large upgrade.
✅A focus on both the heroes and the antagonists.
❌Slight AI pathfinding issues.

TT Games is moving forwards after the colossal Star Wars release.

The world and its aesthetics

The hub is Barnett College, which, overtime, will start populating with characters you unlock. Features of the game, such as extras, characters, etc., are separated into rooms, with a few holding secrets.

For the Completionists

Streamlined is the best word to summarize. Locating certain extras before heading for 100% makes the journey much easier. The introduction of the hieroglyph mini-game might bore people after a while. Only a few restarts were needed because of bugs. The final rewards for completing the main game are great fun, and the Warehouse level was a great bonus.

To summarise

✅TT Games used a formula that worked and kept with it.
✅The addition of tools for characters to use.
❌Bringing a knife to a gunfight. Most enemies are gun-wielders and they will fire off before you manage to kill them, which in turn will cost many lives over the course of the story. Freeplay and the like don't have this issue.

An epic conclusion to the LEGO Harry Potter Universe.

The world and its aesthetics

A spectacle. This title expands into the world outside of Hogwarts and does it wonderfully, and certain areas made me smile ear to ear, such as entering the Quidditch arena and experiencing the Three Brothers quest.

For the Completionists

It's much smoother than its predescessor. Quality of Life enhancements, especially from Nearly Headless Nick and his Red Brick.

To summarise

✅Improvements in quality of life across the board.
✅An expanded world outside of Hogwarts.
✅Spell selection has largely changed.
❌There is noticeable lag that can deter many people from playing this title.
❌The Aguamenti Charm can be a pain to aim sometimes.
❌Duals slowly become repetitive, especially when chasing completion.

TT tackles a Titan.

The world and its aesthetics

What's more to love than Hogwarts and Diagon Alley? It's a dream come true for me.

For the Completionists

Besides the monotonous puzzles and having to use an external map to find my way around, it was a smooth process.

To summarise

✅The Story, Roster, and World. It's a whole package.
❌Navigation. The marauders' map would've come in so handy to explore Hogwarts.
❌"Smart" selection can be hit or miss.

First up: Try playing the game without the damn 60fps "fix". I can run it maxed out without the uncap smoothly besides cutscenes which seem to lag whatever the case.

Besides that this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ epic!
Coming from DR1 and DR2 which was trying to force the zombie survival on you DR3 feels like they've combined the Saints Row franchise with a zombie apocalypse where you go all out nuts and have a blast swinging giant weapons of mass carnage to driving things that look like they're out of a Mad Max movie.

At the moment if you can handle the 30fps you're going to have a ball but anyone else who really wants to run it at 60fps will need to wait for patches and driver support of some kind.
