The game is masterpiece. I cannot say how much I love NieR story which I honored by clearing the game to absolute perfection (all achievements, all endings, all quests, all weapons (fully upgraded), all words,...).

I enjoyed the old aspects of the game that I no longer see in the new games, like solving puzzles, moving boxes to get access and such.

However, since I decided to clear the game to absolute perfection, it was really grindy. Some side quests are the annoying backtracking where you just have to run somewhere, talk to them and return, you know the drill. So I had to take a break since it started to feel like work, but I'm sure people who want to simply play the game and simply enjoy it by not watching out for all sidequests and stuff to not miss anything, will not have this issue, I'm sure.

The music is absolute masterpiece as you'd expect. When you look up OSTs of this game on Youtube for example, most of them have couple millions of views and people are listening to it even outside the game, me included. There's no music with so much emotion and depth like these (even from what I read from perspective of professional musicians).

Yoko Taro never fails to deliver. I'd tell you to prepare for this soul-shattering experience, but there's jsut no way for you to be ready for what's to come.

I just hope, that you'll give the NieR series a try and if you love an excellent & deep story, then there's no way that you could not love NieR.

Just take your time and simply enjoy the ride, but please, don't stop after getting the first ending. The further you get beyond that, the more of the picture that Yoko Taro painted unveils infront of you, until you reach the true ending and see the full picture in all it's beauty.

Words can't describe this masterpiece.

The enviroment, soundtracks, the story, oh god the story... Until I played this game, I never thought that I'll be able to call a single game the best one and/or my favorite one. It is also first game where I read every quest and dialogue, usually I only watch cutscenes and read main story related stuff. With NieR:Automata I was so into it that I wanted and needed more, hoping for more story, more quest, wishing that it won't end, but it did.

Summary? You should definitely play NieR:Automata and then pray for sequel, like all of us who really finished this game, not just the first part.

Ladies and gentleman prepare for soul-shattering, depressing, meaning-of-life-questioning ride that you'll absolutely love.

Also 2Booty is the best.

Glory to Yoko Taro!
