Terrible, terrible game design. Where do i even begin.
Firstly, there's a pvp and pve server, you'd think if you chose to begin in a PVP server, youd be auto flagged for pvp, but no. Instead they force a moronic system where you can actively toggle pvp mode, much like fallout 76. This not only makes for a carebear pvp experience, but also people cheesing and toggling it on and off without a proper cooldown on other players. Next, the game is mainly centered around grinding generic mobs with essentially no real story or logical introduction, it's a complete mess. THIS IS A MOBILE GAME, and its FULL of microtransactions, unforgivable in its own right. This game absolutely does not deserve any of the hype its been given, you can't even actually raid or destroy others' bases unless they purposely flag the base with lategame loot items, essentially voiding the entire aspect of "survival" on a "pvp server". This game will inevitably be dead within a few months, but mobile gamers will surely keep it alive longer than expected.

If a game developer can add 20+ cash shop items and a battlepass+cash shop full of bonuses, they surely could make a better and well thought out pvp system, it's totally unforgivable that flagging has no cooldown, can be toggled anytime, you can even flag from pve mode to pvp on top of someone, it is JUST AS BAD as fallout 76's system, identical. It makes for a carebear p*ssy pvp experience. I went into this title expecting a survival base builder, similar to rust, but instead i was met with a cheapo ripoff fallout 76 with mobile game elements and cash shop items. Total garbage, i instantly uninstalled and saved myself the time. Don't bother playing unless you enjoy mindlessly grinding generic mobs for some made up goal.

Dragons Dogma 2, where do I even begin. This is easily one of the best RPGs released in current day alongside titles similar to Elden Ring. The game-play itself is immersive and the amount of depth and sheer exploration potential is seemingly limitless. The map is huge, the pawns/followers interact and actively chat, making adventuring seem incredibly immersive and detailed. Between personalities, applications of classes and vocations, experience, you name it, all these things come greatly into play in Dragons Dogma 2. The enemies can be towering or minuscule, each posing their own challenges and rewards. The amount of side quests, areas to explore, and depth of progress along with hidden items allows for very long playtime. Renting friends' pawns and giving them gifts or experience for the future is also very fun, as is creating your own custom pawn and renting them out to others! Cheers to hoping they add a DLC as vast and intense as Dark Arisen was for Dragons Dogma original.

Regarding the micro-transactions, they are all optional items which are *very easily* found in-game, therefore they simply exist as a customer idiocy trap. Realistically i believe these shouldn't even exist, just simply bad practice, though luckily no actual powerful elements to be found here.

Regarding performance, this is probably the key factor driving many customers away currently, as the game could run so much better than it is currently. The game DOES suffer quite a lot of performance issues in terms of FPS and stability, however this can be somewhat remedied through launch settings, ingame settings, and control panel settings. Hoping for improvement so those with lesser PCs can still enjoy this amazing title in full glory as deserved.

Immersion and gameplay : 11/10
Performance and FPS: 4/10
Main story and soundtracks: Classic Dragons Dogma, 10/10
Customization and replay value: 10/10

Probably the best PVE FPS game on the entire market period. Between tons of planets, tons of enemies, tons of variety and cosmetics, this game has an insane amount of replay and jump in potential. Higher difficulties overwhelm and swarm you with enemies, dangers, and mechanics. Planets each have their own light and dark sides, weather systems, and environmental debuffs. The galaxy is riddled with tasks and opportunities as a Helldiver to make your stake. 10/10, optimization also is solid, could be better but isn't terrible either. The overall attention to detail is very impressive, from watching your spaceship hyperdrive jump between planets to observing other destroyers/ships orbitally bombard planets from above. Multiplayer is fast paced and easy to jump into, fitting perfectly into the game without hassle or awkwardness.

Great fps, probably the best. However, the best comes with drawbacks, and those drawbacks mainly include extremely sweaty matchmaking or prolonged queue times, predatory microtransactions and costs, and artificial deals which are really nothing of the sort. Beyond that, this is probably the best mobility / ability shooter battle royale.

Changing rating to thumbs down until devs realize not to financially prey on their customers, the recent battlepass changes are a main reason for this. Great game, poor management and dev decisions controlled by greed.

listen... great game.. solid dlc.. but lets be real here. The pricepoint for this DLC is hugely inflated for the little content within it, also the DLC is loaded with bugs, crashes, desyncs, even in multiplayer. Hopefully the devs give this part of the product a little more attention... in the past 2-3 days of non stop playing, i've been desynced and crashed from almost *every* mp lobby, even with 0 mods...... seriously..

Firstly, let me start this review with the fact I never saw myself playing a mecha type game until now.

This game is easily one of the best games in terms of actual game-play, engagement, mechanics, and enjoyment that I've played in a minute. As someone who's always been loyal to the FROMSOFT gaming supremacy, i wholeheartedly put my trust into this game on launch, I am NOT disappointed. The story is awesome, the combat is INSANE, the actual performance IS INSANE, everything about this title is just blown out of the water. The dialogue and some information is fed to you via radio and intercepted comms, but i find this more immersive to the enhanced human experience. This is a classic FROM title with their infamously engaging and enthralling combat.

-Story and epic encounters- 10/10, similar to games like NeIR or their previous titles like Elden Ring, bosses are immense, gargantuan mega-structures and insane designs, bullet hells, mechanical nightmares, absolutely a blast to encounter and battle as you progress the meaningful story, which dribbles the secrets of Rubicon to the user.

-PvP and combat- 11/10 Easily just as engaging or MORE than other souls titles they've made, much faster paced and intense, resources are limited and require proper management, healing is extremely rare. Shields, rockets, melee weapons, plasma rifles, miniguns, shotguns, laser guns, you name it. PVP has proven to be an extremely enjoyable experience, making it easy to find matches and test your might against other players' creations. From 1v1 (with optional spectators even) to 3v3 team battles, they have it all, no weapon is particularly overpowering compared to counterparts, they all have their own downsides, upsides, counters, weight, energy use, etc. After many hours, arguably an entire day or two wholly in PVP, i can definitely say i see a new design or different ideas almost EVERY game currently. No major meta or overused items, simply a handful of strong items and stronger depending on the situations and mechanical aspects of each battle. Finding lobbies is very quick and easy, this allows for hotjoins into pvp very easily. The only thing the PVP feature lacks is honestly a REFRESH server list / player lobby button, as it stands lobbies fill SO FAST sometimes you just have to keep searching over and over until you nab one.

-Environment, performance and visuals- 9/10 (could easily be a 10 if minor satisfying details were added or adjusted), The performance for this title is honestly mind boggling, it runs INCREDIBLY smooth, even on older systems, expect to easily achieve over 100 FPS if you have a monitor which supports it. Manages to look as good as other actively popular titles currently such as Baldurs Gate or Diablo, while also maintaining X10 better performance for ALL systems. The environment is the planet of Rubicon, which is a outskirt mining planet maintaining rare resources, as such, the planet itself is very mechanical and industrial in appearance, allowing mega-structures, distant horizons, dark oceans, towering mountains and ghastly currents while also maintaining an extremely modern appearance. Many environments and enemies change depending what contract or covenant owns the surrounding areas. Large infrastructures and mega-structures also pose interesting challenges to movement and fun aspects of mobility to players, allowing them to fully explore all mechanical options within their own personal Armored Core.

-Replay-ability and long-term enjoyment potential(customization)- I do believe this game has a very good amount of replay value, not only that but the actual customization and difference in the MANY assorted playstyles you can build (and save, toggling between) yourself allows for an insane amount of both PVE and PVP challenge and fun. Missions can be replayed to earn money or achievements or to search for rare loot (classic FROMSOFT). Arenas can be jumped into at different grades for varying challenges and rewards, PVP anytime past chapter 2, varying drivers allow for extremely customizable mechs with their own mechanics and abilities. The customization is almost seemingly endless, editing each shoulder weapon, each individual color, each metallic hue, each weather or scratch, each weapon in either hand, choosing your own custom generator suiting to your playstyle with varied energy outputs and weights, assorted combat computers, picking out the many types of legs , arms, headpieces, cores, thrusters, light colors, making your own emblems similar to for honor with even more detail and freedom, the possibilities for customization are LIMITLESS on this title, it's actually insane.

Once again hats off to the folks at FROMSOFT for knowing EXACTLY what gamers and players REALLY want, while also providing a great game for a great price, ability to run on even average systems for all customers and all platforms, not robbing the customer or having overpowered or advantageous pre-order advantages or inherent economical downsides for customers. This is why FROMSOFT truly is the supreme company and the ONLY company possibly worth trusting with pre-order content.

Overall, an amazing title with a huge amount of options and replay value. Probably one of the best co-op games released this year. For details continue

-Graphical quality and ambiance of soundtracks / immersion : 10/10
-Overall performance across systems : 7.5/10* (Even 3080 cards are dropping significant frames in towns, load screens can be prolonged on higher settings, etc. Lesser cards can hardly keep up at all, come on this is a top down game, it shouldn't be this hard to run and enjoy. However, adjustment to settings or even upscaling and adjusting things properly for your system will allow it to run fairly smooth, so i edited this to add an extra half point) - *edited this to a 7 or 8 out of 10 because they since updated and fixed some performance drops!!*
-Story and replay value : 10/10, (could be even higher, still playing as im posting this review) easily repayable, infact almost *too* replayable, making new playthroughs, characters, and loading saves to test choices is just far to tempting not to do. Desperately needs an ironman mode, i know you can simply choose not to load, but temptation gets the best of us.
-Difficulty ratio : 10/10, similar to divinity , Tactician forces you to truly be a tactician and determine your positioning and placement extremely well
-Co-op drop in and play or multiplayer value : 6.5/10, occasional server drops and connection issues, they advertised this title as a "drop in and play" co op experience, i'm here to explain today that currently this is NOT the case. As it stands, there are no characters which carry over between multiple saves, there is no ability to join someone else's game with your character from a different game, this gates you into ALWAYS needing to make a new character when you join a new lobby. Additionally, each lobby can only have a maximum of custom characters, then you cant dismiss or replace them, forcing new joiners to play a previous player's character. This is NOT drop in and play. Players who are not host also cannot save nor have their own save to continue of their own / the playthrough, only host owns the save and characters in it.
-Voice acting and overall options during cut-scenes and dialogue sequences : 10/10

Overall, id give Baldurs Gate a very fair and improvable score of 8.5/10, it could be even higher if performance was properly optimized and drop in / drop out game-play in multiplayer felt substantial along with character progress. Progress and all characters being bound to a save ONLY the host has access to is poor implementation of a drop in / drop out system for players. Save your custom character slots for yourself or for friends who will remain for the entire playthrough until this is addressed or changed. Very similar in many ways to their Divinity titles. With the game's replay value and overall enjoyment level though, you could easily round this 8.5 to a 9 or even 10, so this isn't a product to be underestimated. Amazing title. Likely the biggest golden age RPG moment for a good while until other competitors progress / release

Probably easily the most populated MMO on the market rn compared to ANY competitor. Has absolutely no pay to win, at most minor convenience or boosts/costumes and vanity. PVP queue times for all modes are very short, making this really fun, especially with ranked modes and rewards , events, etc. This is one of the FEW MMOs i've ever played where i WOULD recommend you enjoy and follow the story and take your time with it. It may start off slow, especially because the first chapter of the game is so many years old compared to the newer content, but the PVE in this game is easily TOP tier compared to ANY other MMO on the market once again. The community has lots of nice and chill players, it's probably the least toxic MMO environment I've ever been in. Tons to do, crafting, pvp, pve, raids, dungeons, trials, everything, you name it. The only drawbacks i'd say this game could potentially have for anyone are simply some cheesy sequences in the first ark and some quest chains requiring patience early on. Membership fee is one thing to play, but a retainer fee as well etc..? it does rather quickly add up and imo is a little pricey for entry to some. Anyway i'll cut to the chase
-8 / 10 PVP (great class balance overall, some could be slightly buffed to be more competitive in PVP, more modes or 1v1 / true deathmatch would be really cool otherwise)
-11/10 PVE (TONS OF PVE content, this game has insane amounts of Trials / Raids / Dungeons / Dailies, you name it. Tons of progression and things to work on, titles to achieve, relics to progress, etc. Largest drawbacks to the PVE at all if any are just some unskippable cut-scenes , low tier gameplay or challenge early on, some repetitive grinding on some ARR content, hunting logs and ARR relics specifically, could use more big grind modes or fun 100 floor deepdives) The other largest downside(s) to this game that IMO should NOT exist are retainer fees, some outdated ARR content, and most definitely boosts or class boosts, they're really pointless, not only confusing new players or those impatient buying them ,but effectively ruining the classes lore / questline and totallly messing up investment / progression as a whole imo.
-100/10 Soundtracks (lol, honestly the better soundtracks of ANY mmo on the market period, dude even was battling cancer while composing, show some respect fr )
1000/10 Cutscenes (just holy, insanely good cutscenes, this game ends up playing like an actual movie / story)
10/10 Community
6.5/10 Pricing (including items like retainers etc, without including those id bump it up to a 7.)
10/10 Class variety and gameplay / progression
10/10 Vanity and Customization (great dye and glamour/transmog system, as well as races / race changes etc)
10/10 Population Density (Always logging into a queue or a wait time to enter, regardless of what realm is refreshing, for an MMO player. Especially a queue that moves VERY quickly, usually getting you ingame within seconds anyway, only *potential* drawbacks are separation of realms / instanced servers, though necessary for the population, especially as a cross console game, it does suck if your friend for example, is elsewhere, so mind this)

Overall a great title, if you ever played the original FF games, especially the older ones, some of the original soundtracks and zones may give you some minor nostalgia as well. Can easily sink tons of time into this between raids, extremely difficult content, jobs / classes to level, weapons and fancy gear to progressively upgrade, hundreds of hours of deep story and cutscene content, quests, you name it. This MMO certainly plays totally differently than most games on the market, so approach it with an open mind and enjoy the story.

Game is having a great comeback right now with the addition of crossplay and other elements. Probably the best medieval pvp game with actual strategy and coordination over games like mount and blade or chvvalry, which mainly consist of people randomly swinging on eachother and teammates with 0 strategy or coordination whatsoever. Largest downside currently is crossplay is enabled but you can't *actually* invite people on other platforms, extremely stupid way to advertise crossplay. Was hyped and got a friend into it, only to realize i can't even actually invite him, even though he can see my chat messages and invites. It's been over 5 months and the invite system STILL hasn't been ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fixed, stupid way to advertise crossplay. Outside those negative factors however, this is still one of the best PVP games to date.

One of the best builder / survival games i've played in a long time. I got this game for free during giveaway back in its early release stage, i played it, hated it and closed it. UNTIL NOW. Recently, i played it again, and boy, this game has come a long way. The overall graphical fidelity is wonderful and there's so much more to do and so many people to battle or bases to steal / build and epic sites / monuments to loot and compete for. Essentially Minecraft mixed with some sort of fallout and tarkov / squad based survival fps blend. The largest drawbacks to this game honestly are the overall community of toxic players, the INSANE LONG load times and queue times that are absolutely uncalled for(especially first time loading or whatever... jesus, can be upwards of 20+ minutes..luckily you only have to load once..), and the optimization could be more efficient. Playing solo can be very difficult and brutal when squads of players raid you or gang up on you, hours of time are to be put in, but can easily be lost. Outside these factors, most servers seem to run by a weekly/ monthly basis. Another solid learning curve or initial difficulty for starters is definitely going to be the "soft siding" mechanic, where placing a wall from certain angles can simply ruin your own base or make a weakpoint, and sometimes you cant undo the wall to even fix it, even as the builder. This can be frustrating for starting players as building and some other mechanics definitely have a learning curve. Outside these factors, this game is one of the best survival builder fps type blends i've ever played, one of the best games to play with friends period. Lastly, the game is an FPS, so don't be surprised not only seeing toxic players, but hackers, etc. sadly. FPS games of this generation are plagued by people using third party programs , you will eventually run into it, this is just the way it is. Props to the devs for working on banning such players, but i hope the system becomes more efficient regarding such , its truly a plague. I would give this game a 10/10, but between the toxic playerbase, the hackers, and the massive overwhelming zergs which outnumber any amount of skill or smallscale group, i give this game a solid 7/10, again queue times and load times are terrible, further pushing my motivation away for even feeling inclined to play.
