Early Access Review
Really enjoyable so far, looking forward to them adding more stuff to the game. It's definitely still in early access and you do feel that at times.

It's really quite the Fun, Fast Paced co-op/non co-op game with a need to balance the mercs out still however i think thats more attributed to some people playing certain characters so well they get nerfed too much to make them on par with an average player in a different merc.

This is a game that regularly comes down to the last second of gameplay to determine the winner of the round. Some complain these rounds are too fast, however a game (consisting of 5 rounds) is around 20-30 mins long sometimes a bit shorter if everyones switched on to the best ways to play the monster.

The more and more you play the more different tactics you try out the better you get with a reasonable learning curve.

In summary;
Fun
Fast Paced
Un co-operative co-operative gameplay
intense split second finsihes
reasonable learning curve

tangent to the review; (getting on my soap box/ Below is just a rant at some commenters)
I've seen lots of complaints saying that it should be free to play? why? they never bring any argument other than look at fortnite. why should you expect a product people took time and effort to make to be free? the devs are even offering free content updates to make the game stay fresh the "battle pass" is free....

if i asked you to work at a company i owned for free you'd tell me to get lost but you expect people to dedicate there lives to bring you free entertainment? to do that they'd need to plague the game with micro transactions and then you'd complain about that as well.

Well since "Commander Stealth" is censoring comments critising his review i though i might as well post all my responces and quotes relating to his review on here, where he cant censor it. Everything between " " are all direct copies from his review and when asked to elobarte on his suggestions to make the game better he would just remove the comments. All critisim is welcome here after all this is all opinion based. My personal general summary of the game is a great realistic Operation Market Garden based combat game, it still needs some more work but is definitely one for the teamwork driven, realism minded gamer.

"I feel even more disappointed in Post Scriptum because of This trailer. Seriously, look at the emotion this trailer generates with the Allied and Axis soldier, giving you the idea there's a possible single player story(There is no Single Player or story at the time this review was written)."

there has never been any mention of singleplayer at any point and what you infer from the trailers is entirely of your own imagination. This is not a no mans sky situation with the trailer, the store page should have updated its information to reflect whats in the game currently but i feel that has been redressed with the open letter and ability to refund the game for some time to allow people not to feel defrauded.

"but each particular role, ex: Sniper, AT, Medic can only be played if you have a certain amount of players in your squad..? It doesn't make any sense."

Oh i forgot they had panzershreks just lying around for everyone to use, WWII is known for its abundance of specialised equipment dolled out to everyone. (while i realise i made a sarcastic answer to this one the question made little sense to me)

"What makes this frustrating is: Tanks cannot turn in place"

whilst more modern vehicles have better transmission, the WWII tanks and vehicles in game would be able to turn on the spot if you were able to assign throttle without moving forward. Though some only turning one track and so pivoting around the left or right rather than the modern one track forward one back pivoting around the centre.

"no destructible environment, twenty five tonne tanks can't knock down trees or fences"

Although it would take a substantial amount of force to knock down a tree i do agree the fences problem needs to be fixed even temporarly with them being able to be passed through with tanks.

"you can drive a half track down a street in friendly territory and randomly explode, and since there's no killcams, you can't learn how you died or what you did wrong."

It's likley you got hit by an AT infantryman and in my opinion kill cams would ruin the game that would see defenders positions revealed, outlying marksmen doing devestating damage to offense nullified and for what gain?

"Getting from point A to Point B in a Churchill can take 10-15 minutes."

churchill top speed is at most 12MPH it is a infantry support tank not a blitzkreig machine.

"No bot Support"

what do you mean by bot support? there is off map support available already or is there more detail to this throw away comment?

"No bot Support, and Yes, I know this is supposed to be a realism shooter, but necessary tweaks can be made to keep people coming back. For example: Squad spawning, killcams, bot support, a progression system, and much more"

squad spawning is being looked into though i wouldnt favour it but most of my WWII realsim attitudes came from WWII Online. Where would a progression system go? what could possible be unlocked that wouldn't ruin the game?

"Real life combat isn't fun, and in a video game, that's the aspect that matters the most. I have refunded Post Scriptum and I wish Periscope luck with their project, hopefully this game will be much better than it currently is in the future, but my expectations are not high."

It is entirely your perogative to refund the game, there has always been a niche market for the more realistic shooter fans who derive their entertainment from the realism. I happen to be among those, it seems your main faults with the game are the playerbase which can go either way i tend to look for a good server and keep playing on that.

These are just some of my thoughts on your review and i would welcome your response to some of my questions about bot support, progression, etc.

Played the "Life is Feudal: Your Own" when it came out, this seems to have made the grind worse somehow. Some clans will help new players to experience this game to its full potential but even then is it worth the time sink? I would argue it isn't. I have tried everything to get some enjoyment out of this but it seems near impossible for those whose time is precious.

If you have vast and I mean VAST amounts of free time then give it a go. If you don't it's got to be a hard miss.

They appear to have spent all their time making this game look pretty, what they should have done is delay it another year and put some of that PR money into research as well as making a compelling single player campaign.

The single player is shallow, the tank section controlled like half the devs wanted an on the rails experience and the other half wanted a free movement of the tank I.E. absolute trash. campaign is a tops 3-4 hour experience and isn't worth anywhere near the money. The only real positive of this is the graphical fidelity is top notch

An amazing strategy game that often ends up with you sending everyone who has two hands and two feet into the war, bloody russians with their endless supply of people.

fantastic open world age of sail game! lots of trading, ship building and of course plundering!

although its still in beta the only negative i can give it atm is the UI needs doing properly but the devs are holding off the ui development until its feature complete so they dont have to redesign it 5 or 6 times.

can't recommend this enough!
