The best Battlefield style game I've seen in over a decade outright beating the developers of the Battlefield franchise. Progression isn't overly grindy, gunplay feels phenominal, proximity chat creating loads of funny and tactical moments. I couldn't ask for a better game to play since the disappointment that has been EA's franchise over the recent years. Highly recommend picking this up if you're a fan of this gameplay style.

Absolutely Ruined by the EAC Update, QoL, accessibility and performance mods are now outright useless and make the game less enjoyable due to the extremely buggy and terribly performing gameplay.

Review changed to a Positive as there's been a great effort to fix the issues i've mentioned.

This game is literally made by brain-dead monkeys. A bowl of goldfish could make a better game than this.

Black Mesa has been a game i've been playing since the early source mod days and the work that everyone has put in is absolutely amazing, this game looks astonishing and the game play feels fleshed out. Little things have been added and/or changed in the overworld levels and they make the experience just different enough to make me want to play more, but Xen? My god Xen. I finished the Xen portion of Black Mesa not too long ago and I have to say it's the most fun I've had in that portion of the Half-Life story. The levels look absolutely amazing and The Nihilanth fight is so much more engaging and enjoyable. All of these paired with Joel Nielson's amazing scores, the XEN portion of the OST is my absolute favourite. For such an amazing experience £15 is an absolute steal, it's been a joy to relive the events of the Black Mesa incident, more so than the original.

Anonymity, Quick advice, taking and giving. Everything is all legitimate advice and any mean stuff will get reported, it's a very good game to chill out and help some strangers that you may never meet with and feel satisfied at the end.
