Yes with caveats

Some parts of this game feel very unfair in single player - like random meteor storms or solar flares destroying your ship while your on a foot patrol portion. Somethings are decidedly missing from multiplayer - BUD-3Y allowing the send to ship command.

Overall the game is great fun, casual friendly and better if you join a public lobby or invite friends

Immature cartoonish art style. More visible here than 1800. Does not let you feel like its related to the time period at all. Some new mechanics, largely not (as expected). TERRIBLE tutorial which just blocks you without explanation with everything locked. TERRIBLE UI as well (seems like they let immature designers ruin all aspects of this game). Providing needs becomes a ridiculous headache with those buildings hidden in a separate UI to other buildings

This is fun but currently thumbs down becasue it is hard to play due to crashing if left inactive or paused for more than a few seconds, which has been reported to them several times but never fixed

I have a lot less hours than the people with negative reviews and I dont pvp - after all the time they spent in the ark universe their anger is justified BUT this is a good game in it's own right, which a 'mixed' rating does not reflect.

Graphically it's much nicer than ASE which I had for free on epic. I also found it a bit clearer to figure out what to do in the first few minutes (I tried ASE again last week and could not figure out V to craft, was never explained)

There's a good number of maps and a bad number of Alpha Raptors on the maps that make me want to rage quit. Dinosaurs do get stuck under ground and the audio is BY FAR the worst part, with stupid pooping noises constantly and an annoying as ♥♥♥♥ DEI idiot reading every booklet you find for about 10 minutes. She has a horrible voice and you have to resort to muting the entire game until shes done

It's a solid game

Having to deliver supplies to the tents is annoying busy work, but the other parts of the base management are good

The main inspection part feels accurate

Apparently I'm the first person to downvote this, but it felt like a chore.

The very first time you have to pick something up there's a minigame forcing you to quickly press random buttons, clearly designed for adhd types, not typical for survival games

Then after you finish listening to him complain about being jealous while he steals things you go to an island with no source of water of any kind and told to get a shovel but even as an experienced gamer in this genre I could not figure out how it wanted me to do that. Eventually found a watermelon and I'm pretty sure eating it decreased my hydration. Still no shovel, hydration blinking red.

Also sends my GPU wildly loud, despite not seeming to have very taxing graphics

Some positives like an interesting power grid and artifact system. The overall idea is good, but it's outweighed by the bad parts. It's definitely an arcadey sim for the kind of adhd players that like call of duty, but in this genre who is the target audience?

The bad parts are the awful ship controls - insanely badly tuned inertia one moment then the ship wildly swinging 200 degrees the next moment. Pair this with awful targeting against enemies which can out range and out maneuver you even in the easy scenarios and it's a frustration fest.

You wont want to use the booster in either the ship or the player thanks to horrible camera crap. As the player you suddenly turn 3rd person and spin. As the ship the camera suddenly moves to a different range jarringly

During fights youre expected to get out of your seat waddle all the way down the zigzagging staircases to the bottom of the ship and fight fires on metal walkways or reload and repair on foot and you also get told to do things like remove mines though there appears to be no way to actually do it.

Materia and items disappear between missions and you cant even start a mission with a full loadout (ie take a gun from the hangar)

And the call of adhd part - every mission is several stages of unlimited constant spawning enemies. It'grows tiring really really fast

Since I like the bones of the game, which seems to be a slightly better thought out everspace, I hope the game gets some fine tuning before release, for now I wouldn't recommend buying - but hey this is a free demo, try it yourself

So far it's utterly unplayable.

CONSTANT attacks from day 1 even with nothing but a shack you'll have raiders with swords and shields than can take zero damage from ANY attack AND perfect archers every single day even if you manage to kill the previous set.

Player has literally 2.5 seconds of stamina with around 20 seconds recovery time.

Game day 7 facing raid number NINE plus wolves twice.

Impossible to make any progress, the only villager is incapacitated all the time by the raiders.

I would 100% refund this game if I had purchased through steam rather than 3rd party

Came back for a second try after some updates. Devs haven't yet solved the issues people have with the combat, but their reply says they have changes in mind.

The combat right now is dreadful with each engagement reducing your max sanity until the MAX is 1 which is instant death while the enemy still has a max of 70 and triple your health and constant evasion AND disables your attacks and all 'gifts' which rarely have a use EXCEPT in these back-to-the-wall engagements require 25 sanity to use

Any story aspect is gated off by the bad combat, it ends up super boring super fast

It's ok if you get it very cheap, but it has some anti-fun mechanics, namely no saving, just bs checkpoints which often mean redoing 30 or 40 mins of a mission.

It's like far cry with better sniper rifles and much worse pop-in issues.

All the reviews putting it on par with subnautica - what trash.

- The biggest issue is that you just cant move for 80% of the game. 80% of the game is waiting for your jetpack to refill so you get 2 more seconds of movement before you wait again. The dev obviously never heard of Newton's First Law of Motion.
- The other 20% of the game is trying to balance utter ridiculous power needs, which can only be solved by construction, but you have no option to fabricate becasue there is no power and you cant prioritize what gets powered and switch things off
- Save data randomly gets lost, suddenly you are back where you were 3 or 4 'saves' earlier. Saves are also ignored when dying respawning
- The game relies on blinding the player all the time. Insane bloom in caves to hide enemies, green drones that turn the whole screen white so you cant actually defend yourself
- After a couple of hours the entire game is locked off behind a requirement for nickel which doesnt exist anywhere
