Hunt is a game for a very specific audience - It is a slow paced, tactical shooter highly emphasizing stealth and choosing your engagements over running and gunning. To me, at least. I encounter a fair amount of players that play at full speed at all times, and that's fine too.

The prevalence of bolt action and lever action rifles, breech loading shotguns, and revolvers make this feel very different from most shooters. To me, it is a welcome change. I have had more fun with this shooter than I have with any other in quite some time. While definitely not for everyone, if the idea of stalking/hunting a AI boss, while simultaneously hunting other players and having to stay alert for players that are coming for you, sounds like a good time, give it a shot.
