A very cute and colorful 2D platformer with puzzle elements.The mechanics and the art style(made with play-doh), are really unique.Simple,but creatively made levels,that won't let you get bored - 8/10

BACK 4 B'L4D'

1)Story/Concept :

Rangok Skies is a pure vertically scrolling Shoot'Em Up (Shmup), inspired by some classics of this genre.It features a campaign that can be played either solo or in local-coop with a friend.The game starts with a small intro explaining us the story behind the game.

It goes back,during the great Vampire War, when the four nations joined forces to defeat the evil Lord Rangok.Wizards from all nations forged a powerful Spear that could bring an end to all this chaos Lord Rangok has caused.That's how the dark lord has been defeated back then.The weapon of victory was divided between the four nations as a symbol of alliance and and the four nations could live in peace....

...Until the present day!A mysterious message stating that anybody who would bring the Spear ,would receive power beyond imagination,rouse the four nations and their thirst for power .And that's how the war started again.

2)Gameplay :

The game consists of totally 5 stages and every stage ends with a boss battle.Then you can advance to the next one,until you reach the final one where you have to defeat Lord Rangok himself,who wants to destroy the Spear you brought!Will you simply hand it over?


Fortunately enough, in this fight we are not alone.
We can choose between 4 characters,each one having his/her own ship,unique ability and bombs.We can freely choose between the first 3 (Marco,Astra,Big Joe) from the beginning and we can unlock one more,later - The Sam Urai .In my opinion, these 4 characters(the 4 ships)cover the most commonly used types of shooting,used by most games of this genre.In other words,i think that most players will find at least one character that will satisfy their tastes.


The controls are precise and satisfying.The movement of your ship seems to be smooth and the shooting accurate.There are 2 types of movement,while shooting- The normal one that is slower ,but doing more damage and the turbo,where you are quicker ,but doing less damage.


The game is really challenging.You have 3 lives(you can get 3 hits for each life) and 3 credits to continue for all the stages.What makes the game really challenging are the boss battles.The bosses have a big amount of health.


Nothing is perfect they say and here are some flaws i found in the gameplay or at least some things that could have been done better.

First of all the colors of the bullets.The game (especially with the first 2 characters),uses the same colors for our bullets and some enemies' bullets.This is a very important mechanic in a shoot'em up,to not share the same colors between the bullets, because it can cause confusion to the player,especially in the beginning.Of course we can get used to it,as we play more.

Another flaw i found ,is the distance between our ship and the enemies and especially the bosses.It feels as if we are very close to them and this decreases the reaction time we have in our hands.

3)Visuals/Graphics :

The pixel art is really nice.The game has a very cute appearence overall,with colorful graphics and a lot of retro vibes!

4)Sounds/Soundtrack :

The soundtrack of the game is really AMAZING!I really couldn't have enough of it.Also the game offers a music player in the menu,where you can listen to all 34 tracks!Also the characters' voices are really well-made with many retro-vibes as well.

5)Strongest Points :

Weakest Points :

While Rangok Skies is bit short(5 stages only),it has a high replay value.We can try beating the game with different characters and/or in higher difficulties.

“Rangok Skies is a nice Shoot'em up and despite some flaws it may have,it is a very enjoyable experience.The great pixel art,the amazing soundtrack and the lots of retro vibes make it a game that is worth our time.I am sure that the fans of the genre will definitely enjoy it."

1)Story/Concept :

The game takes place during WWII and starts with an intro,showing us our main protagonist who was an american pastor.He explains us how they forced him to join the army and how one day,after discovering that "they" were hiding drugs,he decided to try them on himself.This resulted in hearing the God's voice.God told him to kill everybody...although our protagonist wasn't so sure about that,then God offered him the ultimate gift to convince him....The "Wh*re of Babylon"!Who could have resisted on that?

Gospel of Abaddon is a Top-Down + Action + Roguelite (it has some Rogue-like characteristics too)+ Shooter,where you get stronger by buying perks after every death.And let's see now how it works...

2)Gameplay :

In Gospel of Abaddon you control a plane from a top-down perspective.Your main goal is to clear some areas (or all) from enemies,until you reach the final level where you have to fight a boss.If you are successful on that,then you can advance on the next map.Every map is Randomly-Generated,so every playthrough will never be the same.You need to progress through 5 randomly-generated maps,in order to beat the game.The game uses a map system similar to "The Binding of Isaac" (with grids),for those that are familiar with this.We need to choose wisely the path we will follow ,in order to reach the boss.


Fortunately enough, we are not alone in this fight!Every time we die,we collect XP (Experience Points),so we can level up and buy perks,that will make our life easier.The maximum we can level up,is level 25 and the good news is that it doesn't take much time to do this.The perks are permanent(that's why i talked about Rogue-Lite),which means that once we get them,we can use them in all our future runs.Apart from the perks,on our way, we might find some random items(health,ammo or fuel), and a vendor where we can buy items,too.


The game uses mouse-only controls.On one hand this makes it simpler,especially for casual gamers,but on the other hand it can give some kind of confusion.Controlling at the same time the movement and the shooting,might result in lack of flexibility.There will be many times that you might die only because of that,especially in the beginning,until you get used to these controls.


The game is very challenging.I could have used the term "hard",but since it has a Randomly-Generated map system,lady "luck" plays a very important role in this,which means that you will sometimes get easier runs and sometimes way harder ones.But one thing is for sure,it will need some practise and you will die many times,until you beat it.

3)Visuals/Graphics :

The graphics are very simple,but at the same time,really cute.Nothing super-special,but at the same time not bad either.What you see in the pictures in store's page,is what you get.

“A nice little indie game that i found enjoyable.I believe it would have been even more fun if it wasn't using mouse-only for controls.A game with replay value.The gameplay time can be extended with some challenging achievements,that need more time to be achieved.A fairly priced game that i can recommend. "
*Note: The game contains drugs abuse and quotes from the bible.I have to mention this,in case someone feels offended due to religious or other beliefs. Personally i don't mind,because a game is a product of imagination and can be anything.

1)Story/Concept :

The games starts with an intro showing us that after Allura(Mermaid) and Glenn (Human) fell in love,their love grew stronger and they finally decide to get married.The Ceremony gets interrupted by a strong wave that carries Allura's father,King Alanus.King Alanus declares that he won't allow this marriage,because it can disrupt the balance of the 3 realms.Allura and Glenn have no other choice,they have to petition King Alanus directly.And so their adventure begins.....

2)Gameplay :

Allura: The Three Realms is a very simple,classic Match-3 game.Using only our mouse,we try to make matches of 3 or more.In order to finish each level,we have a specific target,like collecting a specific number of shapes or break a number of tiles.When a level is completed,we can go back to the in-game store and ,using our rewards(stars,gems,etc),we can buy some tools that will make our life easier in the next level.

3)Visuals/Graphics :

The graphics are simple,colorful and cute.They give a sense of warmth and they totally fit with with the fairy tales atmosphere.

4)Sounds/Soundtrack :

Great soundtrack that fits with a fairy tale.It has a very relaxing effect.

Although the game is fun,i found it very basic,in terms of gameplay.It could have used a bit more advanced mechanics like power-ups,combos and many more things that could give variety in the gameplay.

6)Summary/Conclusion :

“While Allura: The Three Realms doesn't "invent" the wheel and it remains pretty basic,in terms of gameplay,it is for sure a nice,fun and very relaxing experience,if you like Match-3's."

1)Story/Concept :

Endocrisis is a pure Side Scroller-Shoot'em Up (Shmup) inspired by some classics of this genre like Darius,Gradius or R-type!While it doesn't feature a true campaign,the main goal of the game is to beat the stages that the game offers,until you unlock the final battle in order to beat the game.Every stage is being described as an emotion.Emotions like Anxiety,Fear,Panic are some few examples.You have to beat these stages,in order to reach the final battle with "THE MIND"-which is your mind ,that wants to control you and convince you to...not follow your emotions!

2)Gameplay :

From an interactive menu (map),we can choose the mission we want.We are free, to play most of the missions, in any order we choose,apart from some later ones that require to beat a previous stage in order to get unlocked.


Here comes the most interesting part of the game -The Mechanics.While Endocrisis keeps all the good characteristics from the classic shoot'em ups,it goes one step further.Apart from shooting the enemies and dodging them,you can also absorb their bullets,which will raise your energy and armor.In my opinion this is a really clever mechanic that gives more depth in the gameplay.Although you initially have only one life ,you can survive as much as needed and keep fighting,by absorbing the bullets.

The gameplay was really smooth and the controls tight and responsive.


You can also get(earn) gun upgrades and power-ups in the game,that will make our life a bit easier.Some examples are the Vertical shooting,the Powershot and the GUN+.


Here,Endrocrisis does a decent work.Really well-made and clever boss fights in 3 stages, that will test your patience and your skills.Every boss fight is really different and you will have to do your best to beat each boss.

The difficulty of Endocrisis,especially in the later stages is more than challenging.It is a hard game and you will die a lot,especially in the boss fights,always depending on you experience with shoot'em ups ,of course.But one thing i can say for sure,is that all thr4 battles are 100% satisfying.

3)Visuals/Graphics :

Endocrisis uses futuristic-looking colors,that are bright and clear.Overall the colors that have been used are well-thought and they don't cause confusion.Because one of the most important things in bullet hell/shoot'em ups, is the right choice of the colors for each enemy type and for the bullets they shoot.

4)Sounds/Soundtrack :

Great work has been done in the soundtrack,too.Mostly Neon and Synth-Pop styled soundtrack,that is very pleasing to the ears and gives a sense of suspense.

Only found some minor and occassional bugs,nothing game breaking or something that might cause a problem and ruin the fun.Generally the game runs smoothly.

“A brilliant and cleverly-made shoot'em up that takes all the good characteristics from the old-classic good shoot'em ups and invests in it's own mechanics,managing that way to show it's own personality and give a fantastic game experience"

1)Story/Concept :

Cake Invaders is a very simple Arcade-Shooter game,with cute pixel graphics.The main goal is to protect your 5 cakes (Baumkuchen) from the invaders that will try to steal them from you.There is no campaign/story mode.

2)Gameplay :

Cake Invaders constists of only one mode-Endless.This means that our main goal is to survive,as much as possible (wave after wave).So,in every run ,we are chasing the maximum score we can achieve,competing our personal best score or through online leaderboards.



The mechanics of Cake Invaders are very simple.You have to shoot at the invaders that are dropping from the sky and kill them before they reach your precious Baumkuchen cakes.The controls are super simple too : You aim with the mouse,you shoot with the left-click and you change the type of bullets you want to use, with the mouse-wheel.


In Cake Invaders, we can get some upgrades too.But in order to get them,we will have to shoot the special cakes that appear in our screen.All the upgrades are passive,which means that they are getting activated automatically.Some examples are : to get more girls with miniguns,shoot faster or restore our cakes,if the invaders have already stolen a part of them.

We can also choose between the types of bullets we want to use.There are totally 3 types of bullets.We have unlimited ammo in the default bullets,but the other 2 types of bullets can only be earned from drops and thus the amount we can have,is limited.So, use them wisely,only when it is needed!

“A cute and colorful arcade shooter,which is really fun and can become quite addicting.The only downside is that it has only one mode (endless).But what it does,it does it well!

1)Story/Concept :

The alien Invasion has already begun and people are hiding to save their lives. YOU , PILOT #39,as one of the few hopes left for humanity to be saved,will have to take your plane and fight the hordes of enemies.But the fight won't be that easy!This is more or less the story of Broken Sky.
Broken Sky is a side-scrolling dogfighting shooter game inspired by some retro classics like Sopwith or Jumpjet.While it doesn't feature a campaign story,it does offer quick dogfighting action and challenging gameplay.But let's see more about it!

2)Gameplay :

In Broken Sky our main goal is to survive as much as possible and kill the maximum amount of enemies we can.Like i said above, there is no campaign mode,so in every run ,we are chasing the maximum score we can achieve,competing our personal best score or through online leaderboards.


Broken Sky has a very simple nature ,in terms of mechanics.You fly,you shoot,you try to avoid enemies.That's all!And thus the controls of the game are very simple (few buttons).But,can this simplicity offer a satisfying result?And the answer is,yes.Although the mechanics and controls are simple,the challenge comes from the gameplay.Fast gameplay,that needs quick reactions will really test your reflexes.The also good variety in enemy types,make it more unpredictable,because you never know what you will face in your next move!


Luckily in our battle against the aliens,we are not alone!First of all ,we can get better planes,by unlocking them.By saying better,i mean faster or stronger.Secondly,we can upgrade our weapons by choosing other,stronger ones.Here i have to explain that we have one main weapon,one secondary weapon and one special weapon that recharges by time.All of the them can be upgraded.Last ,but not least,and maybe the most important,we can upgrade our shield and that way we can have an even stronger plane.Now you have the tools pilot,but let's see how does it look like!

3)Visuals/Graphics :

The visuals are very simple.Cute,Clear,Pixel Graphics with a retro style,reminding classic games of another era and bringing a sweet sense of nostalgia.Also ,in every run,the color palette randonly changes,giving some more variety.

4)Sounds/Soundtrack :

The soundtrack is really pleasing and totally fits with the concept.It gives a sense of suspense and upcoming action.

My only complaint is that the game needs more content,or to say it better it needs some more content (or modes) so it can justify easier the full price tag.

“A fun,dogfighting shooter game that will bring a nostalgia feeling to old-school
gamers,but will also satisfy the younger audiences that like modernized ,old-school style, arcade games.

After a long wait...We are back in business guys!!
