Fun but short

It is fun, I have a companion bucket to follow me all along to hoard syringes and grenade. Love how the devs allow us to do that.

I haven't played any Half-Life series other than this one, so no comments on the plot.

Shooting, crouched shooting (played as standing mode), quick peeking all works.

Just one little bit of downside for me tho. I am ambidextrous at shooting and also am able to dual wielding. I understand dual wielding is disabled to prevent us to be too op. But I kinda hope that I can switch hands when doing corner shooting without changing the settings mid-game or blending my hand uncomfortably.

Addictive, it is like gambling. But without costing you anymore money except for the game and your time.

I absolutely love the graphics as well as the game play during this sequel.

Also, I find the ending during the elevator scary and funny. Those turrets that have been trying to kill you are now singing you a farewell.

I truly hope for a sequel, but looks like it wouldn't after all these years.

As a rule of thumb, you can't complete the story even after finishing it, the menu will not pop up, and you cannot leave.

Current issues:
1. "Autosaving is in progress" issue is still present.
2. When saving is working, the game will crash randomly.
3. Menu will not pop up after clicking return to menu, happened both for Story and No Return mode.

I updated this review after the 1.0 Hotfix yesterday.

I have tried, verifying the files, do a clean install. Both methods don't work.

Review: I still finished the story mode by not closing my game. This is due to I have a second laptop, but for those who only got one is unfair. And they won't get to enjoy the wonderful content and gameplay mechanics of this game.

However, the game still shows that I haven't finished the story mode due to a crash after credit rolls. Only steam achievement records that. Now my save is all the way back to the middle of Abby arc again.

I love going prone and snipe people out.

April 6th, 20 hours on record:
I now discontinue playing until they fix the issue of "Autosaving is in progress". No matter what I do, It will always stuck after the Abby driving out from the stadium.

The Ellie Arc is perfect. But now I just can't continue the game with the saving issue present.
