Very cute! Would recommend, though maybe not for full price as the game is quite short.

I think my biggest problem with the game is that the feel is really good, but there's not really any time to enjoy your upgrades before you're onto an even bigger upgrade. A slightly slower pace would help a lot.

Just cleared Sector 74! Finished the first half of the game with most of the achievements in the in-game achievement window completed, and with minimal help from external guides. There's an insane depth with the in-game mechanics, and they're very tightly interwoven with each-other. Incredible balancing. Despite how complex it was, the game teaches you how to manage each system very well, making it quite easy to pick up and understand. The Stats & Info button is also really great, and was great for locating which stat buffs I was missing.

Haven't touched the endgame at all, but very excited to see where it goes. Really well put together game, really fun to make my way through. Got here without spending a dollar, this is a true f2p game.

Short and sweet. Didn't overstay its welcome. Haven't played many incremental games, but can definitely see this being near the top of my list.

I really like that you get an auto-click upgrade early, also really appreciate that you can hold to click instead of needing to spam click. I do wonder though, if you're likely to get the passive autoclick upgrade on your first prestige, why not just include it at base?

Found the interface on the prestige upgrades a little unclear? Didn't realize some prestige upgrades could be upgraded twice until my third prestige. Also found it visually unclear that the passive upgrades auto-equipped as soon as you unlocked enough points - would have liked some kind of animation to make it more obvious!

Overall very fun, would recommend :)

Gameplay loop is fun! The art style and story are cute, and the game mostly runs pretty well - crashed twice early on in missions, some stuttering when my unit count would reach the high 100s or low 1000s (worth noting I was watching videos on my other monitor). I really like that your unit count can actually reach such high counts, most games like this that I have played will heavily limit the player's army size. The spawner buffs are very fun, would have been interesting to see more combinations of them though, or the ability to destroy them in a mission to free up more building space.

I do have a few issues:
1. The price is much too high for how short the game is - I beat it twice in 13 hours, once on hard and once on impossible. I don't play many RTS games so it's not that I'm particularly good, just that the game is very short and not especially replayable because:

2. It doesn't feel like building proper unit compositions is actually worth the effort. You can beat half the first game by full-speccing into one of the earliest unlocked unit types, then beat the second half exclusively with a flying unit. Trying to mix tanky units with ranged units isn't worth your time as the tanky units are all way way slower than the ranged unit, so the ranged ones just die in the front then walk back.

3. A lot of the units are really, really, unusable levels of bad. Swarmers with full upgrades were quite strong up until I encountered huge amounts of flamethrower enemies, then Warriors carried me for the rest of the game. Wasps are also very very strong. Titans felt quite strong when they worked for me, but they were so slow that deathballing with them never worked how I'd quite want it to. I tried using the other units on missions that gave me issues, but they all felt incredibly lackluster. Especially noteworthy was the mortar - with wasps being able to fly over walls to cheese, the mortar not targetting over walls feels really bad! Adding a perk to make it target over walls (or even just base kit) would be very welcome in making it feel worth the massive perk point investment to use it.

4. The RNG enemy upgrades are interesting, but honestly don't make the game that much more replayable. In my first playthrough they kept rolling increased spawning speed and quantity, and increased damage, which made the game quite challenging at points. In my second playthrough, most of what the enemies got was extra HP and building HP, which seemed to stack with the health buffing crystals. The HP increases were barely noticeable on the squishy enemies but made some of the tanky enemies balloon up to almost 1500 HP, which vastly extended some missions to little increase in difficulty. I think the system could be partially reworked in some way that would be more fun - maybe keeping the players ability to lock certain things from being upgraded intact, but then making every other upgrade happen, while also toning down the numbers so the missions don't end up taking 40 minutes from the enemies having inflated health totals.

5. I'm not huge on how much clicking you need to do to macro. Would be nice if you could build the supply increasing structures in mass, without needing to hold down M1 and dragging around a bunch. Maybe a 3x3 option for building them or something! Some of the builder upgrades could be made to be base upgrades, as they felt bad to play without on my second playthrough, but didn't make me feel stronger. Using my perk points to make the game less physically intensive to play probably didn't help the restricted build diversity I experienced.

Overall, I enjoyed the game! I would not recommend buying the game at the full release price, but would recommend if it was 50%+ off. I look forward to seeing what else the developer releases :)

Much more challenging than Hollow Knight, but the difficulty has never felt unfair. Good game
