Dirty Bomb is a fast FPS from Splash Damage.

Bad-

- Competitive servers need a fix. One game you're in a game with 30-40 ping the game after that is 120+ ping.
- Some balance issues with certian weapons and classes such as the medic, Aura.
- No party system for casual games.
- Buying new mercs costs a large chunk of in-game cash.

Good+

+ Art style is refreshing
+ Runs perfectly on my PC. (GTX 770 2GB, i5 3570K 3.4GHz and 8GB DDR3 RAM)
+ Gunplay is fast and fluid
+ "Paid" mercs are on a rotation
+ Not a "freemium" F2P game. Nobody can spend £20 and have access to better weapons or mercs than you. it just might take a while.

It's free. What's the worst that could happen?

Other developers take note. THIS IS HOW YOU DO A PC PORT.

Not to mention the game is fantastic too.

CS:GO Review
CS:GO is a great shooter, If you can handle the steep learning curve.

It's one of the oldest FPS games out there and the mechanics have barely changed. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it.)

Once playing competitive you'll never go back to casual again. It's hard to explain why it's a lot more enjoyable than casual.

Only thing I can say that I dislike about the game is that the community is toxic, ranging from people you play against and even your own teammates.

(There was one time I played against some great guys who were very graceful at being defeated.)

9/10- would complain about hackers again.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is a game set in 1960. Not the swinging sixties, the nazi sixties. Doesn't really have the same ring to it. You play as B.J. Blazkowicz, who is part of the resistance against the Nazi overlords.

I won't say much more about the story apart from I rather liked it.

The guns are loud and dangerous. They also produce a lot of blood out of nazi foes, also sometimes taking limbs off and popping open their chests. (I love you shotgun)

Enemy AI isn't 100%. I sometimes found enemies shooting at walls and a bit dim with stealth sections. Although tougher enemies warrant some caution when attacking them as they deal large amounts of damage in one or two hits. (on medium difficulty)

Graphically isn't 100% either. It's not "rendered" on DirectX 11 or 10, this is done by OpenGL. (OpenGL and DirectX are called APIs) Textures look flat if you get too close. Darker areas seem to have some kind of grainy-ness to them. Cutscenes are either done on a different API or just for some reason look way better than the actual game. The eyes of characters in cutscenes are really high quality as is the texture work on character's faces.

Levels are nicely designed and quite nice to look at despite some textures not being so great. Levels are large and rife with places to explore.

Voice acting is rather good. B.J Blazkowicz is well voiced by the same guy who voiced by Kane from the Kane & Lynch games and Jackie from The Darkness II. Every other significant character is nicely done too.

I believe some players may be put off by the fact of no multiplayer (personally not me) because no replayability. I've completed the game in around 9 hours. But, that is just one "timeline" that I have completed. There are also enigma codes to find. Which you then decrypt for different gamemodes or game types.

Overall, I rather liked this game. I recommend this game to anyone who loves shooting the hell out of Nazis.

I'll give it a 7/10.

Quick edit: There is one bug which irritated me was a fps glitch where I would get 2fps randomly, at the start of levels, after cutscenes. Only closing the game then relaunching would fix. Could be a driver problem, not sure.

Also, the system requirements are rubbish. I played this on:

i5 3570K at 3.40Ghz (Yeah. Not an i7.)
8Gb RAM
nVidia Geforce GTX 770 2Gb VRAM.
Windows 7 64bit Home Premium.

Ran at 60fps constantly. (Apart from the above bug/driver issue)

Pros: Fun, full of references (I might have missed a few), weird and wonderful.

Cons: No FOV Slider, short (2 hours for me).

7/10

ArmA II with all of it's expansions.

This game is probably one of those games that you need on your PC. Explosions, planes and choppers. I've put over 170 hours into this game. Even more into the mods which don't intergate with steam, such as ACE and ACRE also the ever popular mod DayZ.

9/10 would buy again.
