Phenomenal game. Fluid as hell, I love the changes in the way the story is told, the environments are beautiful, I actually like the *slightly* more linear pathing, but.....I have ONE complaint....

My only complaint, combat is WAY....WAY....WAY overtuned. WAY too difficult. Enemies shouldn't this regularly be doing 2 health stun-lock attacks... like come on team cherry give me a break. It's genuinely MASSIVELY annoying sometimes. You WILL get killed in impossible ways completely out of your control, which is NOT ok that's why the original is so great. Usually if you die, you could have 100% done something different or better. This game, occasionally, kills you in ways that are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

But other than the overtuning of combat, this game is just great. Love it it's a perfect follow-up to the original.

Literally waited....until September 1st to play through this for the first time. Phenomenal game, but I can officially say.... "HA I don't have to wait like you losers" lolol no it's an incredible game and I'm somebody who doesn't traditionally play 2d platformers too much at all, but this is the best game I've played in a very long time. Made my like 3 dudes...who woulda thought...

Great game. Just a good ol badass great game. Hard as hell at first....but gives me the vibe of the old Bethesda games, only with guns and mutants and floating blades that i CONSISTENTLY RUN DIRECTLY INTO i digress

Truly PHENOMENAL story, PHENOMENAL bosses, PHENOMENAL weapons, PHENOMENAL setting, PHENOMENAL BBEG, just...a gorgeously dark story. There are some moments in this expansion that just truly unsettle and anger me on a super deep level, and I mean that in the BEST way. Every single boss just peaked my interest and my emotions in a really cool way, making me either genuinely scared, genuinely fascinated, or genuinely "oh hell nah run away" laughing lol this is everything great about Lies of P, turned up to 11. If expansions could win GOTY (lul) this could be up for it. Well done neowiz beautiful job you deserve your flowers.

Just as good as it was originally! Phenomenal game that has been criminally underrated. I know it came out around the same time as Elden Ring originally, but this game is a different type of game, and it's almost just as good imo. Just a wonderous piece of art. Must play forsure

First, on the so-called "performance issues":

There are none.....runs rock solid. i TRULY do not know these performance issues people are talking about. Runs smooth as butter. 7900XT, no crashes, not a single frame drop, 4k Ultra (or nightmare? whatever is right above high). No "forced ray tracing" that would be insane and it doesn't exist so i don't know why anybody would say that's a thing. Learn graphics.

Second, gameplay:

Takes a few missions to get used to what they're going for on this one, as a HEAVY Eternal player, it was a bit of whiplash. But once you GET IT......oh my LORD is it the best Doom game I've ever played. Not even close. The most satisfying power fantasy of ALL 3 modern Doom games. Somebody on ytube mentioned how weapon swapping is slow....it's not....they mention a "cooldown" when swapping weapons?....there is none? So just truly I think this is a campaign to punish ID for what they did to Mick, which I'll get into later, but NONE of the negative feedback I've seen online is showing up in game so idk wtf people are talking about......gameplay is STUPID sick.....it is positively STUPID.....SICK. On EVERY level.

Third, the story:

I mean i LOVE IT! The doom guy is WAYYYYY more 2016 this time around than Eternal. Just silent as hell. And the story outlining the way the Maykr's got to the point they were at come 2016 and Eternal is incredibly fascinating and badass. WAYYYYYY better story pacing and vibes than Eternal IMO. I mean, if you're just like....braindead and want NO story whatsoever, then idk go play COD. But for a Doom story, this ♥♥♥♥ is dope straight up I dig it hard.

Fourth, the OST:

Is absolutely stupid fire. People are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on it because it's not Mick.....but it's FINISHING MOVE INC.....it's SUCH a sick soundtrack. The songs might not have QUITE as much grind as Mick's stuff, but good GOD is it fire either way. The *music* in my opinion is better actually. The grimy low D Mick style is absolutely missed, but not in the sense that the new OST is not extremely EXTREMELY fire.

I'm not sure if people are doodooing on ID because of the whole Mick situation, but this game is incredible. ID don't miss. I'm reviewing *the game*, not ID and Bethesda. And as far as the game goes, do yourself a favor and PLAY this game. This conflict online over this game BAFFLES me. People say "eternal was too fast and harrrrrrd omgaaaah", so ID makes you a straight up BEAR/TANK/whatever you wanna call it, you are so powerful when you LAND on the ground you kill everything within a square mile, it's not as manic and stupid as Eternal's combat, but that's a GREAT thing. I'm telling you i PROMISE you......do not listen to whatever tf is happening online with this game. It's so dope.....I can't STAND how dope this game is. Just give it a bit to get used to the non-manic movement and constant *hard requirement to swap wep for every enemy*, and you'll be just fine.

In summary, this is the sickest Doom game I've ever played. It's awesome. Play it. Don't listen to people saying "iT wOnT eVeN rUn fOr Me". That's insane, and they need to learn how to operate a computer. This game is rock fkin solid. Get it......get it now. I got the $99 early access, best $99 i've ever spent.

Took a bit to really get WHY this game has some of the best reviews in Steam history.....but i get it now.

It's Nier Automata...it's a masterpiece.

If you thumbs down this videogame, you just truly.....shouldn't be playing Atlus games lol this game is *perfection*, everybody knows that by now, if you love Atlus games or even if you don't, give this game a try because it's absolute PERFECTION.

Absolutely impeccable game. Flawlessly melds the combat of God of War with Sekiro and Lies of P, the art direction and music is incredible, the gfx are like....PERSONA??? In an action RPG sorta? It's anime-souls and I couldn't be happier. Ben Starr is the main character so hell yeah on that, and I've only played the demo. This is the most fun I have *ever* had in a demo. 30 min in i decided I was pre-ordering the deluxe edition. So do yourself a favor and try/buy this dam game it's *phenomenal*
