One of the best titles ever produced and I'd confidently say that this is the best one within the series.
(Some might say Arkham Knight)

Everything with this one is just so well-made.
Story takes place 18 months after the incident back in Asylum. Right from the beginning and through the end, it never disappoints. In general, Batman stories in other entertainment platforms have never really disappointed. The story could've easily been also made into a comic, going for 15 issues or so.

Next point, while the combat isn't your typical hack and slash from titles like MGRR, DMC or Darksiders, this one encapsulates what you see in martial arts, tricking and acrobatics in the comic world. When you read the comics and you see the characters perform combat feats. The combat system in this brings that to life. Hits are so satisfying, all the characters have unique gadgets that can be combined with different combo takedowns etc.
This makes you literally feel like the damn Batman himself when you beat the living hell out of your enemies. Seriously, one of the best combat systems out there.

Moving on, the environment of City gives you that feel of what corruption is, and what little hope left there is for it to remain stable and not completely in ruins. The score for this game is just simply put amazing. Specifically the one called, A Call to Arms that is played during one of the best scenes in the game, when Batman fearlessly dives into a chimney. Everytime, I get goosebumps from that. It's so damn good. Also the one called A history of violence, a specific part there which contrasts every emotion in the game. Displays what little hope left there is in Batman and the greater good for Arkham City and its residents.

Next are the characters. They are greatly portrayed by each respected actor/actress.
Mark Hamill's Joker never gets boring and always sounds psychotic and insane. He is what I hear when I read stories surrounding the Joker.
Then we have the former Kevin Conroy (RIP) who embodied the voice of our Batman. Till this date, he will always remain the definitive voice of our Dark Knight.
Thank you sincerely for everything you did for DC and Batman.
You will always be missed.

Additonally, there are Riddler challenges that you can do with 4 different bat-family members. Mostly these are for achievements hunters and people looking to get 100%. I myself had fun doing them although some were indeed a little frustrating. Though I did enjoy Catwoman's challenges more.... for obvious reasons.

One of the best games out there and perhaps the best Batman game out there.

9.8/10 would play again to see ♥♥♥♥ Grayson's ass in that Nightwing suit.

"You want to know something funny? Even after everything you've done... I would have saved you.
