I want to like this game. I want to love it. The mechanic is awesome.

...Then you hit chapter 4 where the game loses all intuitiveness, the level designer went completely off the rails and you're forced to look up a walkthrough. Missed a hidden corner here, an edge there, and it instantly stops being fun. You promise yourself you'll look for the solution yourself the next level. Walk around for 10 minutes, back to YouTube, backspace, next level. After 4 of these levels I come out of the game disillusioned and confused. The first three chapters are thoroughly enjoyable (if you can tolerate the endless NPC praise for the simplish puzzles), and after that I have 2½ hours into the game, which is juuuust too much for a refund.

Finished the first playthrough after 7 minutes because I already knew a couple of tells. Kept playing to get all the anomalies, now I'm somehow still playing. Absolutely loving this game.

This is the game that restored my perpetual disappointment in Triple A games. Can recommend if you love Dragonball and repetative button mashing. Only then, though.

I was a big fan of Receiver. I don't know why I put off buying R2 for this long, but I guess my subconscious was trying to protect me or something. This game is a massive let-down. Just play R1.

The reason this game is called Golf With Your Friends is that Your Friends will help relieve the frustration when your ball glitches out of the map for the 3rd time that game and you can't reset because that's not allowed in classic mode, as you're aiming for a sub-par game.

Which this is. Definitely a sub-par game.

Much like the other games on Steam that are purely there for nostalgic reasons - runs like a quadriplegic on a downwards escalator and crashes a LOT. Can't even enter some levels without the game crashing to desktop. Save your money.

Mass Effect 2 is a great game. It does not deserve the treatment it is currently getting, i.e. manually having to install the DLC from a dump site in the back garden of EA, having to periodically enable/disable a -nomoviestartup parameter in Steam, having to overwrite some DLLs to not constantly get errors about the Cerberus Network and fixed loading times that are still calculated for an HDD (which can be fixed by overwriting a lot of .bik files).

This Steam version is a hot mess. Get the game on DVD, download the DLC yourself (which you have to do anyway) and optionally fix the movies. Saves time, frustration and doesn't dishonor the best gaming trilogy modern gaming has to offer.

Game runs and plays fantastic with 7-year old rig, iVRy and SteamCon. Would love a full version!
