Great game, needs work and am super excited for it's future. The game is inspired by the "Roadside Picnic" Book and I love where it goes with. Really impressed with the map all together.

Long story short:
This game is the love child of Tarkov, DayZ, KOTH game mode from Arma 3... and soon Stalker.
The center of the map is basically an anomalous zone that is still locked in early access.

The scopes are a little wonky right now, but they are so close to getting it. I have been playing the game since its EA launch and I cant put it down. I will be keeping a close eye on this game and its progress.

YO this game is great. As a solo player i'm actually able to 1v2 even 1v3 more often. My play style revolves around being sneaky and juke movements, its super effective and fun. I see where the hate comes from though, if you're new at Extract looters and are a solo player this is going to be a tough time for you. but its not impossible. The challenge is fun in itself, and the sound design makes it easy to understand what your up against even before you've decided to initiate someone.

I've been playing every day since release and have beaten all the missions. What I can say that I love most about the game is how easy it is to get immersed in the world. The voice acting is great, Not to mention the voice acting cast they have. Dude playing a barbarian voiced by Jamieson Price is freaking awesome. You can tell a lot of love was put into certain aspects of the game. The maps are beautiful and the ambiance really sets the mood and the cut scenes are awesome. Fighting your way up a hill and hearing the chant of Goblins growing louder and louder as you climb higher is such a good feeling. Also the beat to their chant evolves into the beat to the music when you imitate a fight. Goblins talkin about wanting to collect buttons instead of teeth, Verbeeg constantly mentioning eating and pooping their pants. The dialogue really feels natural and the voice acting fits the part. Enemies voices and mannerisms fit perfectly with what they are, which is usually my biggest gripe. A lot of people played the first mission and stopped playing. The puzzles start off easy but they get harder as you go on. Keeping in mind this is a LOOT GRIND game and not skyrim it fits its roll. This game has such a solid structure, the only major tweaks needed are in gameplay. I recommend this game to people who are looking for an immersive DND lore story driven experience. If this game was $60 I wouldn't recommend it. but $40 is fair.

At this point I have 100+ hours on Hood and have reached my personal goal of max level and all characters legendary. I come from competitive backround and am addicted to ranked matches in games. This game does not have that, nor do I see it in its near future which is why I am starting to lose interest. Besides that for 40 bucks this game is great. most people play it casually so the matches start to feel repetitive and matchmaking isin't so great but the devs talked about fixing it soon. The most fun I've had is when I invited a bunch of sweaty level 100 players in a private match. Playing with people of my skill level really challenged me and made me actually care about meta and the mechanics of the game. Overall if you're someone who wants a fun pvp game to keep you going for a couple of weeks, I'd say for its prices this is a good choice. If you're looking for a competitive game to sink some hours into i'd wait on it. (The devs said they would only add ranked if the community wanted it, and I dont see it happening soon)

SCUM is a great game, its in Alpha currently, and i'm still having a lot of fun, not to mention the Devs are staying in communication with the players. I'm excited for whats to come.

If you're looking for a immersive experience where you can lose everything in an instance for not being carful ( or from falling 2 inches down stairs). This Hardcore game calls players who have patience and an Iron will to deal with the threat of Zombies and the even greater threat of players. I play on an Epoch server and im having the time of my life. I've made trusted teammates and mortal enemies. In this game you're options are almost unlimited: Farm for materials to build a huge base, Test your skills at player killing and become a powerful "bandit", or become a "hero" and befriend multiple players to create an unstoppable force. I recommend this game to experiences gamers who are looking for a psychological challenge. Both through the game and through the players you meet.
