Easy to get into, but an actual pain in the ass to get anywhere else. First early game parts are really quick, fun, and enjoyable. Everything else after that quickly becomes a grind nearly unmatched in how slow and tedious it begins to get. Classes can range from absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage to completely based upon their abilities and the surprisingly consistent updates which unfortunately cause the game to become much more of a grind. If you pick a character that is extremely bad early on, prepare for hell, as I had chosen a very weak character that gets much bettter later on (Neon Ninja), however the process of getting to that point took many months. Be prepared to get dedicated to a game that gets progressively less beginner-friendly as it continues. In its current state, Trove is borderline unwelcoming to new players in terms of how hard it is to progress. Maybe as time goes on it will get easier to play for newcomers, but for now it is borderline tragic as to how hard it is for people to progress.

Don't play this co-op. Or, at least play co-op pvp or in campaign until the mine section. So many trolls it hurts. Good game though.

I'll admit, while this game may have some flaws, it still is very fun, and a game nonetheless. Once you get past the bad stuff, what you find is a jewel of a game in the center. Great game, and still pretty fun.
