From my limited experience (around 40 hours at time of review), LOTRO is a solid F2P classic tab-target style MMO. Fans of similar games like WoW will most likely find the gameplay to be familiar, yet fresh, while maintaining differences that keep it interesting.

In particular the game breaks the mold by doing some things that many would consider innovative and experimental for the MMO genre. One such feature for example, landscape difficulty, is the ability to set the difficulty of the open world. Landscape difficulty a great feature that makes open world questing far more interesting and challenging than many modern MMOs dare.

I've yet to spend a dime on the game, and I know I've only scratched the surface of the game's content that's available for free. I'm eager to experience and explore more of the open world.

Perhaps my only real gripes are that the servers can sometimes lag (however they are working on upgrading said servers), and the store has options available that I personally consider "pay to win" (while others would not).

I played this game for hundreds of hours back in the Dire Wolf Digital days outside of steam. Was the first card game I really got into, and was fantastic in every way. I fell off a bit after content development was halted, but will always remember the sleepless nights playing my theme decks. This game definitely had a role in turning me into a bit of a card gamer, making me branch out into MTG, and now the FFTCG. Sad to hear it's shutting down, just wish there could be an offline version for all the single-player stuff like the stories.

If you are an Elder Scrolls fan, but not into card games, the story, artwork, and music alone is enough to play the campaigns, especially while everything is available for free. If by some chance you are reading this and interested in experiencing it before it's all gone, it's still available for download off of steam.

If you play MMOs and you haven't played GW2 yet, can you really say you play MMOs?

If you're looking for a "modern" C&C you're better off playing C&C 3. But if you're looking for nostalgia with new graphics, remastered sound, 4k visuals, mod support, multiplayer, and more then: yes.

Wastelanders did it for me, I'm finally buying the game. Although the presence of exploits, and hacks will hold me back from playing it hardcore and PvPing in general, I'll definitely be playing for fun and story. The 2020 roadmap showing a ton of free updates in the future is also very promising!

The latest entry in The Elder Scrolls series; that by this point any seasoned gamer should have at least tried. A Fantasy Medieval Simulator at it's finest. ;)

Also one of my favourite games, thus the recommendation, thank you for the wonderful experiences Bethesda Team (and Todd Howard)! XD
