Over all , great Co-Op game.

Gets a bit repetitive after some time, but thanks to the expansive modding community, the fun does not end there.

Just note that using voice is essentially a requirement and massively improves the game.

(Proxy Chat should be in every game. Cannot change my mind.)

Stupid fast fun

Scanner Sombre is a beautiful visual experience where you map an ancient cave while trying to find your way out.
There is not much story to speak of here, but I do believe the LIDAR mapping alone is well worth the 3-4 hour playtime due to the unique visual appearance it gives.
The horror part of the game is a part of the visual storytelling of the game and combined with the information gathering from the LIDAR, most of the horror comes from your own imagination filling in the blanks.

Also, if you are interested in the VR mode; it works well, but it can get a bit tiresome to hold the scanner for the entire game.

In terms of gameplay, I feel like Helldivers II is the current king of CO-OP shooters.
With a focus on style, it creates a very cinematic feeling with intense moment-to-moment action.

There is also a great incentive for teamplay where players can share equipment or even buddy load each other's weapons for increased efficiency.
Features that make the game way more enjoyable, even with randoms.

There are some rough spots in the game still, but with the frequent updates the game receives (as of now) I believe Arrowhead will polish all of these out before long.

I am on the other hand very pissed that many unique weapons and armours are locked behind "Warbonds" that cost about 10 Euros each to purchase and are pumped out monthly. I wish that at least some variations of these unique items would be available for free. This is a paid game after all, and I expect to get the full product.

To some degree, I excuse the microtransactions as they fund the continued and active global shared story of the game.
This truly makes the game feel like a true community effort and a shared sense of purpose.

Currently, as it stands, I would rate the game as a 7/10.
The general game is great, but it needs some polish and a rework to the Warband shop.

Simple and fun sim

28 hours in and I don't feel like I have done anything yet.

I have only played for 5 hours at this point, but I can already tell that I am going to enjoy this.

It is a very short action film, so there is not that much value here, but the "volumetric" viewing was enjoyable.
If you have the money, it is a cheap and fun experience to show off VR to friends and family.
I hope that there will be more and longer experiences of this kind in the future, it is 3D movies done properly.

A really good VR survival game with very immersive environments and active devs.
I recommend anyone that enjoys VR to give it a try.
