I loved Atomic Heart and Annihilation Instinct. This was terrible and a waste of Mundfish's resources, which should have been directed towards making a real DLC

What's even sadder is that Limbo could have been made into something horrific and terrifying, reminiscent of Atomic Heart's early iterations and design ideas. The candyland aesthetic is terrible. I don't see why Limbo couldn't have been corrupted following Nechayev's injuries/Sakharov's tampering. That thing that's especially strange, is that Limbo in the DLC looks nothing like the Limbo from the base game, and I don't understand why the artstyle and vibe changed so much. The original Limbo was fascinatingly creepy. This one just feels like candy crush. I would much rather have gotten a darker version of the base game's Limbo.

It would be like if Nora's lullaby hallway actually had a terrifying payoff in the form of some kind of polymer-looking thing/creature, and you turned that sort of ambiance and encounter into an entire DLC of trying to fight this enemy. The lullaby also would've made sense. Or, imagine Pushisty being a hostile plot device or enemy

That way, this DLC could have been serious, extremely creepy, eerie, and had combat against terrifying enemies similar to Plyushes. Katya would've felt a lot more impactful because she would be the only thing in this hellscape trying to aid you instead of tear you to pieces. Personal opinion, but Katya's VA was a poor choice for her character

Random thought, but why didn't Sechenov just load up Limbo with like 20 hot babes and a bunch of tropical beaches with cabanas and queen-sized beds? I think Nechayev would've appreciated that more than being stuck in gingerbread hell

I miss this game :c
Would love to see a sequel or revamp. Unfortunately DB was mismanaged, which led to a dwindling playercount

Early Access Review
The singleplayer/AI is bad and the dwindling player count combined with the true sight system and first-shot-wins style of combat means multiplayer is just you getting butchered by autists who know the game inside and out. If you are looking for a game of this type that might actually be fun and accessible to normal people, save your money for when Broken Arrow comes out.

This is a fantastic game! I hope they also make Left for Dead Alyx, Portal Alyx, and Team Fortress Alyx

HW1 has serious scripting issues that can easily softlock you from finishing the campaign- you'll have to restart some missions numerous times. If you can deal with them, then the game is fantastic

I had a long review but I'll replace it with a low-effort one to coincide with the amount of effort that went into Coh3. Coh3 performed so astoundingly poorly that Relic is being gutted and sold off by Sega. That's how bad this game is. Even Sega doesn't want anything to do with Relic. Not even touching on Relic's history of loving Nazis and the SS- this game is an embarrassment. Africa and Italy for the setting but there's no Italian faction? Just a completely bizarre design choice. It would be like if they didn't add Brits for Coh2. Where are the Soviets? Where are the Japanese? Coh2 had Brits, West Germany (which was really just the SS), and Americans despite the game being about the eastern front. There's no excuse behind why we couldn't get Soviets or Japan in Coh3, except for the fact that Relic is incompetent. Oh, the game started with 4 factions? Big whoop. 3 of them have been in the prior two games. Only Africa Korps is 'new', and really they're just Coh3's substitute for the SS- erm- I mean OKW. Either way, it's such a ♥♥♥♥ game that having 4 factions on launch doesn't mean anything, because the game just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks. Maybe Relic's new masters might do... anything... at this point. Coh3's development has been totally catatonic after launch. They made the balance HORRIBLE, added a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cash shop, and a few maps after over a year of 'support'. Making a community development/balance team that adds community maps, units and battlegroups, and other features might be a good idea. Unfortunately, Relic is retarded and will repeat their mistakes with Coh2- putting a bunch of closet Nazis in charge of the community balance team which doesn't have to answer to anyone. What a joke.

At the end of the day, all I can really say, is that Relic deserved everything they're getting. A company mired by incompetent upper and middle management, underpaid and """"overworked"""" developers who apparently couldn't add more than like 3 maps to the game over the course of 12 months, POS leftist community managers, a community balance team that ruined Coh2 in a vain attempt to turn it into a game where Nazis are heroes and a hyper-competitive E-sports ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, despite Coh2 not being anything resembling a hypercompetitive game (((((**this is why you should not let a few top players influence a game's balance**)))). Yeah...
