For sure i'll buy this again in the future but man, saying it isn't ready yet would be an understatement. The server's too hot and the settings won't save you on low even with good hardware. Some might but that is not a great look in general. Maybe treat this as a "pre-download" to support the developers if you've got the creds to lay aside or something 'cause it ain't gonna be truly playable 'till a few months more 'o brewing.

So far so good in terms of gameplay and story. However, as others already have pointed out, this is CDProjects assasins creed unity. I'd wager picking this one up after a patch or two if you want the immersion to be intact. Right now there is little more than a few bugs on buggys roaming the streats of Night City.

Flawless as ever. It has aged moderately well although I can't say I've missed the corpselike faces all characters posess. The atmosphere is as rumored, necro-beasts still creeping me out as it should.

The controlls however of all else did not age too well.
It's very apparent to have been ported from a console enviroment and a bad one at that. While still somewhat adaptable, probably more so with a compatible controller, I still would highly recommend a "control fix" mod.
( I used one from nexus mods that worked without a hitch. )

TL;DR at the bottom summary.

As a new player of space games overall (besides possibly space engineers) I find this game intruiging. I've seen the game on the store page for years and was interested, however, never actually concidered buying it due to the bland reviews. Well I tried it and I am almost regretting not doing so earlier.

I understand the reviews of the game, but I will give it a thumbs up.
It's fun, interesting and even scary at times. I like the thrill of it and enjoy the combat and exploring. The gameplay is fair, though, I can't do with the mouse and keyboard controlls, using the simple yet trusty Log 3D Pro instead feeling more than satisfied.

50+ hours in and I must say that I find my self feeling lost alot and me not being used to MMOs might contribute to it. Also it can become a bit... repetetive. I understand that it's a grinding game but as far as missions go, a bit paper thin. But for now I have only scratched the surface of the game so I still have alot to learn.

[Summary]

Pros~
-It's captivating. With the atmosphere, sound design and graphics all being flawless.
-The combat is very satisfying and ranking up through the levels gives a decent leveling of progressional challange.
-Even laid back running arrands or mining jobs isn't without its chalanges and hardships with the tracking and space cowboys who ain't gonna let you off easy.
-The option to play solo (or more like invisible to others). This is a neat feature If you have your reasons for not wanting to sniff the public in the air.

Cons~
-It get's repetetive.
-If you just got your first time liscence it can be a bit disorienting. Throwing you out there might leave you without knowing where to go or what to do.
-In my opinion the keyboard and mouse mechanics almost made me refund it. You can probably get used to it but I just couldn't. Thank god for my joystick.

I must say, even though I've only just finished chapter two I highly reccomend this game. When I saw what this game was briefly about I decided to play the demo, however, I only got half way before I bought the whole game. If I knew about the game before the sale, or even at the time of it's release, I'd pay more than the full price. It is truly a masterpiece.

Looking back to the games of the early days, Text based adventure games have been the foundation of many choise games today. To being first introduced in the early 1980s and still being around with a few recent bigger titles, the genre is still a choise I'd lay my money on. Although the game is a bit derect in it's story lines, offering less freedome of choise than the classic games, I must say the game is very much a highly thought out project.

The enviroment of gameplay and the story is more or less unpredictable, atleast it was to me. And because it focuses on the text type puzzle adventure, it makes you think. It is a game that anyone can play, or atleast, those who dare to try out a different kind of genre.

I urge you to atleast play through the demo, Chapter 1, before you dismiss it.
