Gran used to be cheap. But now he is not.

The game itself is pretty fun. Fighting game fans will enjoy the unique mechanics with familar character archtypes. However unless you have someone local to play with, this game is almost unplayable. The netplay is horrible. Matches with low delay, listed in the UI with a green 2 or 3, either feel like you're playing under water or your opponent is constantly teleporting/rubberbanding. Lobbies are poorly implemented. For example, if you ready up and your opponent leaves you will be stuck in a ready state and will be unable to leave the lobby. You'd have to press Esc to quit the game. There are other issues such as long delays before moving to character select and freezes while players sync. Desync used to be a major issue, but they are slowly patching out those issues.

Arcade mode is pretty dull, you need to cheese out the AI or they will Counter/DP every move you do.

While the dev team seems to be hard at work to fix a lot of these issues, I cannot recommend the game in this state.

Short and sweet. Just what I needed.
