First time playing this kind of RPG game, it's a lot more fun than I had expected it to be! Definitely would recommend playing with some friends, makes for some quality meme times

For less the price of a set meal of ramen, you can experience a better and more feature-complete Battlefield game than what EA can release!

Summary:
- This is a really fun time-waster with a surprising amount of depth despite how simple it looks.
- Priced really competitively, especially on sale to buy all the DLC.

Pros:
- Really nice visual design, even though the style is simple, there's a surprising amount of detail in all the buildings and structures.
- Sound effects and music are quite low-key and just fade nicely into the background without being distracting.
- Surprising amount of depth in terms of what to build and do to keep your peasants happy :>
- Fantastic time-sink, especially if you're stuck somewhere with nothing much to do (read: math lectures)

Cons:
- AI kingdoms don't seem to be beholden to the same laws as you do, such as being able to build structures and roads right up against wolf dens.
- The diplomacy system seems a little shallow, you can get away with pissing off the neighbouring AI without any major repercussions (unless you straight up declare war on them). In my current playthrough I've just been crapping on one of the neighbouring AI and lowering our relationship as far as it will drop - the AI still sends envoys over to "chat", where you'd think they'd try to send over soldiers or fight back.
- The AI chats seem to be fairly repetitive, you'll start to run out of prompts or messages
quite early on into your play-through - the different AI kingdoms in your map don't have their own unique personality/traits/chats.

[Summary]

Pretty fun fps that's really reminiscent of older Battlefield titles, but player population is really lacking, leading to long wait times, and the overall user interface is pretty janky - especially the main menu and customization areas.

[User Interface]

The main non-ingame user interface is pretty janky, its not very responsive, and the weapon customization interface being particularly, especially if mousing over the different loadouts quickly. It feels like they were trying to go for the style of CoD MW 2019, but with half the framerate. Also the "you have unlocked a new thing!" bubble that appears over every weapon/attachment section/skins section/equipment doesn't go away after mousing over the newly unlocked items - so that little bit of UI ends up being completely useless, you can't tell whether you've *actually* unlocked something new or not.

However, the in-game UI is pretty good, with clear icons without being intrusive and cluttering up the screen.

[Gameplay]

Shooting is pretty fun, but the bullets don't feel like they have alot of impact/feedback when shooting at enemies. Movement can be a bit sluggish, but falls within expectations of a more "realistic" shooting title. All in, the gameplay itself is a pretty fun, Battlefield 4-esque multiplayer shooter, but the gameplay is for naught when the servers are empty and the UI is unresponsive...

[Servers/Multiplayer]

Server population is very low, so be prepared to wait a while for games, especially if you're looking to play the large 20 vs 20 combined arms modes. Alot of the time the game will start to fill a lobby, then give up after awhile, and throw you back to searching for lobbies.

This game is what would happen if Counter Strike had a baby with Call Of Duty.. Weapons with absolutely no recoil, hip-fire is about as accurate as aiming down sights, and no cashing whatsoever. Weapons are all stock and are purchased in the match using money that you earn through shooting and killing bad guys, so theres no unfairness in weapons. But armour is useless and snipers are OP, so please patch that.. Overall a great time-waster and decent shooter with okay graphics and physics. Would reccomend :)
