A great game. Like many other reviews on here, I love this game for all the reasons already stated.

Do note that in May of 2024, Sony nearly imposed a forced PSN account linking but due to overwhelming feedback from the community they backed down. If it wasn't for them backing down, this would be a negative review.

However, I can happily say that politics aside (And the irony isn't lost on me), the game itself is absolutely phenomenal.

What a fantastic little game!

It's relatively short but I see this as very much a positive thing, it doesn't outstay its welcome and the length keeps tedium to a minimum.

The zelda-esque comparisons are completely fair and pairing it as a bullet-hell makes it fresh and interesting. My only criticism of the game is that the races are not fun, but there's only a handful of them and only a couple of them are particularly annoying.

I 100%'d this game in about 10 hours, someone paying more attention could probably do it in less time than that but of those 10 hours, 9.5 hours were thoroughly enjoyable. Glad I picked this up and hope the developers do well with it!

The Mass Effect trilogy is one of the finest trilogies you can play. As a whole, it's hands down one of the best gaming experiences ever made - 3 really good, solid RPG's with tonnes of choices that actually have an impact on the universe across all 3 games. Amazing writing, fantastic dialogue, great voice over performances.

And this remaster dials all of it up to the next level - superb texture upgrades, reworked lighting, various quality of life changes across all 3 games. This should be a slam dunk "Must Buy" for newcomers and fans alike.

But alas, it's not. This particular version is a shoddy port that barely makes use of the PC as a platform. There's no way to tweak the graphics settings (such as FOV), the advertised "ultrawide" support is nothing short of an utter lie with half the game being pillarboxed (And if you're using an ultrawide that isn't 21:9 you get weird artifacting and all sorts). Having to install all 3 games in one go is frankly lazy on their part. It is for these reasons that I cannot recommend anyone buys this version of the game at this price.

This has the potential to be a great game, but there are serious bugs that cause the game to crash on both nvidia and AMD graphics cards, unless you revert back to a particularly old driver. Due to the way the save system works in this game, it's possible to lose hours of progress at a time. Indeed, you have to play the opening mission completely before you can save the game at all (Takes about 40mins) and the crash will cause you to start the game all over again.

This is unacceptable and I cannot recommend the game to anyone in its current broken state.

I played this game to death years ago, when it first game out. To this day, I've yet to find a game quite like it.

It's quite cheesy and the story is a little rediculous at first, but it soon gets interesting once the "real" enemy appears. It actually makes a really good argument for nanotechnology and makes an interesting stab at what that would mean for us all.

Gameplay wise, it's a great little strategy game. Its control scheme is awkward when it comes to issuing orders, you have to get used to regularly stopping the action in order to issue new commands and some of the micromanaging of the recycling unit gets bloody tedius at times, but it makes up for it when you just jump in and control a unit yourself.

It's a shame this version doesn't come with any modern perks like widescreen support, but it works well enough on my Windows 7 x64 machine.
