I mean if we are going with the whole "practical" is what they should wear, it is unlikely a woman would have the strength to lug around an entire suit of metal plate armor. With real practicality in mind perhaps the only way a woman could fight with melee weapons vs men would be to be as light as possible to boost her agility and speed so they could dodge strong attacks and place key stabs in open areas.

But either way historically many Scott's tribes used to fight completely nude. It prevented cloth from getting lodged in wounds which may be missed during medical treatment which could fester and cause lethal infection.
