I was a big fan of T7 and bought every season pass, so thought i'd get this considering their past was pretty good.

nah, ♥♥♥♥ em devs are greedy you can't get the stage for Heihachi without buying it even though you have the "ultimate" pack. what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rip off.

Horrendous monetisation released a month AFTER the initial release to avoid initial hype and reviews and a battlepass released 2 MONTHS AFTER the initial release for the some reason , the battlepass rewards are some of the worst rewards i've ever seen in a game (pretty much just T7 stuff + ball which ppl can make in a render program in 2 mins).
Balancing is terrible even after a few small patches which introduced new bugs.

now onto the gameplay itself, its ok at best, execution is mostly non-existant, no real interesting combo routes, too many forced canned 50/50 mixups with no counterplay.

Devs are also going after modders to shut them down, im guessing this is because of the monetisation which 7 didnt have for costumes and customisations.

BIG L all around tbh.

now for the cons, the UI ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks for Steam, why are you using a mobile UI for PC's? I hope this gets addressed later.

never cared for Halo, and this is the same. feels archaic in gameplay and how you get guns.

The game is great so far, the optimisation is fantastic, only reason i'm giving it a negative review is because there is no FOV slider.
I have played a lot of first person games and FOV didn't used to bother me until this, even in RE7 it didn't bother me but this is too much this is with the FOV mod installed as well.
feeling really damn sick after 2 and a bit hours.

folk compare this to dark souls? its not anything like dark souls.
I liked it at the start for the first 3 or 4 hours but then it just got really lackluster fast.
the bosses have simple mechanics, but what makes them hard is the endless spawn of enemies while the bosses do what they normally do, this is lazy design and not very interesting at all. They feel like a slog when you get through them, and theres no triumph feeling when you do kill them like you would in Dark Souls.
level design is pretty much non-existant, its randomly generated and you can reset your world to get a different level, which is pretty cool but because of this level design isn't great.
gunplay is pretty average, nothing to write home about.

would prob be a good get if its on offer, but if not avoid.

Great game, however theres bugs going about ruining it, .exe is missing (which I havent had) and the one I got is when i alt tab or touch kbm AT ALL the game stops registering my controller. Other than those its a fantastic return to the best spectacle fighters in existence
