Can't idle with a preset limitation to minecart size. Even after upgrading it multiple times it still fills up way too quickly. Far too many things are heavily limited by things tied to microtransactions.

There is so much to this game! I'm overwhelmed but not in any bad ways. There's so much to do and so much to see.

Don't be afraid to "fail". Take the failed rolls because those simply lead to other paths through the game. Flail around in the dark.

I don't really need to say much about this already Overwhelmingly Positive game that I have 300+ hours into. The only people who don't seem to like this game are typically the ones who don't understand that you're going to die until you gain enough gold to buy upgrades.

Could not possibly recommend this game more!!

There's more than a few points I could criticize but they're a collection of minor QoL type things at worst.

The controls are tight. When you've obtained all your upgrades, you can really feel the difference compared to when you begin. The music. Omg, the MUSIC! It's catchy and when you fuse your monsters the lyrics kick in so fluidly. Not only do the lyrics function in such a cool way, it's not clunky at all. I would love more and more of this.

For the price and the small team that put this together, this game is phenomenal.

Edit: I forgot. The game has a handful of "quasi-dragons". Needs actual dragons.

Pure trash. Nothing was learned from the abomination that was "torchlight 3". They're not even making any attempt to be like the first two games outside of the way the characters look.

Practically hemorrhaging with microtransactions before I even picked up my very first item drop.

Torchlight is dead and the corpse is being puppeted for a cheap cash grab. Please do not even try this game for free.

This review is irrelevant

I couldn't possibly recommend this enough. People who've played Rise are coming back to play this game again. I'm still going to play the heck out of Rise, but for the sheer amount of content World & Iceborne have it is more than worth the money I spent on it and more.

I've fought so many of the same monsters easily dozens (if not hundreds) of times. Tracked and fought them in so many different variations. Without help. With help. Easy missions with zero interruption. Nail bitingly difficult missions with curveball after curveball. Random invasions from extremely aggressive monsters. A boss fight so hard a lot of people may never see them outside of a youtube videos (this is actually a compliment considering how far you can stretch this game and the range of difficulty).

I've played it for 378 hours and would very happily play it another 378 hours. And when I'm done with this and Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2, I'll eagerly await the next in the series.

I don't hate this game. But it could be infinitely better. I regret wasting 40 dollars on it. Wait for it to be in better shape. Please.

Edit: Upon doing some research and finding out Runic was bought by the Chinese company perfect world entertainment and Runic was closed in 2017 as part of a restructuring to "focus on games as a service", I can say with all of my heart DO. NOT. BUY. THIS. "GAME". It is an absolute travesty and a slap to the face for fans of the beloved first two titles.

I wish I could refund. I wish I had known about perfect world buying Runic and dismantling them. I never would have looked twice at this hot mess.

Complex. Easy to get lost in. Much fun.
