I love this game, but I cannot whole heartedly recommend it for single player experience. I have been thinking on this for a while and if you're looking for a community to game with and are willing to follow Twitch streamers, the game is great.
But the community carries this game entirely and there are so many flaws I am unable to ignore.

Characters and stories are fine, but your Shepp quest is startingly unhelpful in terms of detail. What the game doesn't tell you is you need friendship level 4 with someone. Some of the characterization feels a little flat, but I play to decorate and hang out with people so I don't really care about it.

Outfits are expensive. If you are going to spend money, look at the older outfits released. There are more pieces and not as expensive as a dress that is $30 because it glows. I get these transactions are how the game makes money, but it's incredibly disappointing to see 1 or 2 piece outfits for femme models take priority. The masculine clothing receives almost no equal amounts of care. And character customization only applies to your hair color and style after you make your character.
If you want outfits but without spending money, your best bet is to find a twitch streamer you like who does outfit giveaways.

There is so much wasted space on plots it genuinely makes me angry. If you want to utilize all available space I recommend looking up Palia out of bounds glitching on Youtube because otherwise a good 2/3 of your plot cannot be built upon. Despite there literally being furniture and props in the areas already there. They did release new house lines to custom build houses, but the fact that Palia forces you to glitch items to make custom ponds instead of trying out custom landscaping features irks me to no end. If you want inspirations for your house check out the tour board and check youtube for glitching and tutorials.

I cannot tell you how many times I have glitched into walls, been stuck in the void, seen animals suddenly lose limbs or bend them to truly awful angles, gone bald, trees have gone partially invisible, items teleport 700m away once they drop, companion pets rapidly dropping through the air and all just in my plot and Kilima alone. The clipping issues are real and awful, and for a game that's been out since 2023 and is now pushing near monthly events, it's boggling my mind that no polish is being sought after for a game that says it appreciates its players.
Not to mention party invites don't work half the time and I have decent internet connection so I cannot imagine how much worse it is for people who don't have that or play on Switch.

When I say the community truly makes this game, I mean it. Most people are kind and yes, there are bad apples but literally every space has a few sour and rude people. If you ask questions most people are willing to answer them or help out if you need an item and requested it. But where the community truly shines is in the resources outside the game they provide. Countless youtube videos on how to glitch your plots, the paliatracker to keep track of your weekly gifts, potato pods, plushies and more. The twitch communities that do frequent giveaways and cake parties. I have seen several of these communities continue to grow and these creators put so much love into their events and just answering new player questions. If you aren't in the Palia discord, they likely are and will give you updates if you aren't aware of an event going on.
I highly reccomend checking out the following people; Ladysapphire, AmberJessie, FrozenDesire, and Jupieverse.
All amazing creators who are a joy to be around and are so happy to see the game grow and bring joy and help out.
Twitch drops are- fine. Usually potato pods and the butterfly glasses that were released with a new bug.

Would I recommend this game for people who want to play by themselves?
Absolutely not.
But if you're wanting a game to interact with others and wouldn't mind joining a twitch community or three, then it's fine.
I just wish the game would actually take care of its players instead of becoming more of a cash cow. Drop all the new plushies and events you want, but at least clean up your game so characters stay in one piece where they are meant to be. It's a bi of a slap in the face to say you appreciate your community and to drop so many community events and then ignore all of your game's flaws to keep making money off the next $30 glowing dress.

Do you like ducks and duck puns? What about short and silly mysteries?
Look no further!
The game took me about 2 hours to play and I got 90% of the achievements first run (if you care about that sort of thing).
It's a short detective story full of charming characters and the game play is easy, the map simple to manage, and the voice acting is everything. I'm absolutely going to play the other Duck Detective game on my next off day! :D
Happy mystery solving Ducktectives!

Want to play as a cute cat exploring constellations and learning the lore behind them?
Want to pet the cat and listen to purrs and meows with tranquil music?
Then this game could be for you!
I managed to play this game in an hour and a half and completed it entirely. The music is very soothing and the art is very cute. But for such a short play time unless you plan on returning to the game several times I recommend buying it on sale! This would make a good bedtime learning game for kids though or if you just like rereading constellation facts it's great!

PS:
Stuck on the behind the moon challenge? Can't find a guide on that achievement?
Try hovering around the bottom right side of the moon opposite the sun!
