Game is good, but Sony is not.

Apparently you need to link your steam with your PlayStation account for "security reasons" according to Sony. Yet the data they hold has been breached multiple times going back as far as 2011 and happening as recently as less then a year ago. Not to mention that if security was really the reason for this change then why the hell would Sony allow the game to playable without this functionality in the first place? Best case is simply negligence but the worst case (and more likely case) is that it's not actually a security thing and they are just saying that so they can harvest your data while seeming like the good guys.

Crazy how a game can fall from grace so quickly just because Sony wants to inflate their numbers. Don't buy this game until this is reversed. Don't let companies continue to get away with this nonsense.

Edit: Sony has removed the requirement. Let this be a lesson that we can change things that we disagree with. Even if it is a big company like Sony.

The overwhelming amount of hate this game is getting is crazy. It's not GOTY or anything but it's a perfectly fine experience that I think most casual DC fans will like.

The story and characters are pretty fun. While some people won't like the story due to how the Justice League is treated, if you can get past that then the story is enjoyable imo. Additionally, the gameplay is surprisingly fun. While the missions themselves get pretty repetitive, I personally liked the gameplay enough that it wasn't a huge issue for me. Unfortunately, the weakest part of the gameplay is the boss fights. The only one I enjoyed was Superman. The others are either bad or just ok.

The biggest thing I can say about this game is that you should not buy it at it's $70 price tag. It's simply not worth it. The story last about 10 hours and for most players that's probably where they will stop. That by itself should tell you that it's not worth that price tag. This might change in the future as updates and seasons come out, but even if that extends to story to 20-30 hours it still probably won't be worth it. However, if you can find this game for $30 in the future or from a key seller, then I think it's worth that.

TL:DR: Fine game, not worth the price. Get on sale if you think you'll enjoy it.

Before we start, let me say that this game is probably some of the most fun that I've had in a while. However...

Getting this game to run smoothly is pretty damn hard. I don't have the best system, but my GTX 1070 and Ryzen 7 2700 can run other games like Pavlov, Payday, and Asgard's Wrath perfectly fine. This game however will regularly become unplayable on most maps and waves. I'm usually regulated to only playing 1v1 waves in order to have a smooth experience.

This is still a great game, and I do recommend it, and future updates are likely to improve FPS and performance in general, just be aware that it will probably not run perfect.

A free to play game that actually gives a ♥♥♥♥. Imagine that.

Really fun game. Main problem is the dead fanbase. It's hard to find games anymore, but the single player content can still get you to play every now and then. The developers are actually adding stuff to the game now, and it's confirmed for a Season 2 so it's not a bad time to jump in.
