Okami has been my favorite story-driven game for over a decade, I love it to bits. I used to play it before I was even able to understand any english (always had my dad to come translate it for me when he had time :'D).

Everything in the game from visuals to the characters and plot are amazing. I love the fact that there's a lot more to do than just play through the main plot. Lots of side quests for stray beads and lore.
The camera control can be a bit wonky sometimes, but I've learned to live with it.

(The only thing that could've made this game better is co-op mode. Not sure how that would've worked but I've always wanted to play the game with my sister.)

Anyway, I highly recommend giving this game a try.
