Very unique roguelike game with gorgeous hand drawn graphics, Don't Starve is a fun open world game, a must have for fans of the genre.

FTL is one of my personal favorites! A really tactical roguelike with various different challenges.

A defining RTS in it's time, World in Conflict has beautiful graphics and a unique gameplay compared to other RTS's like Command & Conquer and Age of Empires. Recommended for modern military RTS fans.

My favorite 4X game, Sins of a Solar Empire might actually be more of a RTS combined with the 4X genre. The real time battles and empire management give this game a truly grand feel. Recommend playing this with mods to further enhance the game.
