Last changes to game mechanics are making the game fall into a strict Pay to Have Fun mode. They are targeting all options from new to mid game players that the game had to progress and removing them all.

Now you can just buy your way through with money, at the low price of 49.99$ per champion to get him equipped. Oh, mind you there are 125 champions currently and one gets added every 3 weeks.

If you are a new player or just started, run away and don't look back.
