Very very strong start with a lot of promising things that made me very hopeful for where it might be going. However, in terms of story and gameplay the entire thing falls off heavily towards the latter portion.

In the story it's made pretty obvious what manga and games the creator is a fan of, however they failed to capture the spirit of what made some of the things they tried to mash in there good and at one point even heavily contradicted their own lore to do it in a way that was more annoying that anything. (The most glaring, annoying thing being Swiftstroke, which was incredibly disappointing because I really did love her on introduction). Also the ending was incredibly anticlimactic and also just. Disappointing. I really did want to like this game but I was already burning from an incredible amount of eyerolls in the climax that just made the end section from what could have been a really nice, sweet moment, into a complete slog to get through.

In terms of gameplay, as an RPG it had some very interesting ways to get around issues other RPGs had, only to fall into big traps later that were easily avoided that it created itself. Such as the damage cap essentially just ruining build variety within 2 seconds of you hitting midgame. A more minor gripe that might not bother other people but definitely annoyed me was that the final boss of the game is supposed to be God who easily defeats everyone else, yet was literally the easiest boss in the game, which just leads to some really weird plot hole where somehow the monsters that are 100x stronger than her ingame were able to be killed by her in cutscene. By the end you're killing the big bad even though you weren't even the strongest one present when everything was happening, so the end section is one big cutscene where everyone else is doing everything and you're just sitting there waiting to go 'oh yeah time to save everyone who is stronger than me for reasons'.

The game needed to be around 50% longer to flesh out like half the cast, and the entire climax needed to be rewritten. I made this review like a third of the length I wanted to but I don't wanna spend too long writing it.

In spite of it all I hope the creator learned from making this game and makes more in the future because I'm seeing a lot of good. This is just me pointing out the bad because you can find PLENTY of good in the positive reveiws.

Strong start, weak ending, that's it that's the review.

Edit: Also there's a bunch of AI art later if you care about that. It's extremely jarring against the style and personally leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but I tried to keep this review on gameplay/story.

I agree with this tbh, the damage cap was one of my bigger problems which just ruins a lot of builds, you basically have to rely on poison/toxic and also just shows that bessie becomes easily the best character in the game by the end of it (multi-hit moves that can hit like 100 times is quite good).

I've noticed that the last half had a lot more AI-generated characters too, or characters that looked too generic (especially when you compared it to the first half, which had NO AI generated art.)
