Another beautiful game destroyed with horrendous matchmaking ai. MMR destroys games and makes them unfun for anyone with a modicum of skill. Many would say it is a way to make the game easier on those not accustomed to the game or who are new or simply lack skill. In reality, say you are that new player and you just so happen to adjust well to the controls and the objective and have a good few first games, the ai will then highlight you as some deity who can outplay those with thousands of hours and send you on horrendously long losing streak. In games without such a system there is always a mix of good, mediocre and outright bad players. Having it be this way allows for new players to get better by learning from those who are better and also fight both better and worse in one game instead of a roll of the dice next match. Sad to see such a unique and fun game turned to a competitive pile of ruble that people take way too seriously.
