Bought this to play with others. A few are getting: "Unable to contact Phoenix Labs servers. Please check your internet connection or try again later." Started to consider a refund. Realized the game never fully closed after choosing exit so now it says I have almost two hours of game play when I have not played.

People in the other comments are complaining about the game taking time. That's the point of an idler. Putting 25 hours into the game isn't going to get you anywhere. Everything can be obtained by playing the game without paying but paying for QoL/other in-game bonuses allows the developer to make money. There is no multiplayer or rush to beating the game. It's a great game to play or leave running while you do other things.

When first launching the game and changing the settings the game fights to not crash. There are no descriptions or in-depth explanations on any classes, skill books, ect. The cash shop wants $1 per diamond which means outfits cost $15, hair dye is $5 and many other overly expensive things for this style of game. Guilds also cost $15 to create. Movement speed is limited by boots which are level 10 minimum from what I've seen in a guide but they drop from level 25 to 45 monsters. There are many things this game needs to fix.

Pros: Fun retro game with fun characters, fun puzzles and interesting dialog.

Cons: Hitboxes feel way off, no easier way to swap between characters, no volume control for SFX, just music.

Secrets of Grindea is a great game, I've noticed people complaining about it being "slowly updated" when it was just recently updated about four or five days ago from me posting this review. When this game is updated they have to update a lot of things, considering there are four types of games within this one. Multiplayer Story Mode and Arcade Mode as well as Single-Player of each type. This also includes: Bosses, Mobs, Weapons, Armor, Cosmetics, Skills, Mechanics. I've played this game a fair bit for the last few days and have had at least five people buy it just because they liked watching the gameplay. Just imagine the fun you could have if you did too.

This game is in early access, so it's something I took into mind but you should too. This game has caused three bluescreens and made my display drivers shut down multiple times, I've played the game with no lag and mid-range graphics, so my computer handles it. Something within the game causes computers to bluescreen and I'm tired of it, so I'm uninstalling it for now.

I've played LaTale for a long time and I always end up playing it for long periods of time when I come back around to it. For newer players the game can be more challenging without the money to add extra stats, but that's part of the fun. The playerbase consists of lots of humorous, nice people and the GAs/GMs are interesting when they are around. If you like grinding, you can join in and have fun. If you like questing, you can do the same. LaTale has a bit of everything for everyone to help satisfy the 2D platforming genre, whether it be focused in social or pure battling. With a level 200 level cap and tons of content to come, as they arrise, I would recommend LaTale for anyone to try.
