A nice nod to the CD-i Zelda games and great material for classic YTPs. Was a little sad with how short it was, even with a 100% completion, but I enjoyed my time with it.

I have played lots of the original Legion TD back in the day and would play it religiously with friends (and still do). I can imagine that some people might look at Legion TD 2 and say "Pfft, why don't I just play the original on WC3?". This game does improve the original and introduces QoL changes to make the game better overall. Granted I haven't played the game for hundreds of hours yet but there are some clear standout improvements.

• Matchmaking. Something WC3 custom games doesn't have.
  
• Offering simplicity without sacrificing complexity. For example, buildings are just buttons and menus now, so it's much faster now.
  
• Single Player content. If you are uncormfortable with PvP games or just want to relax and practice, there are plenty of single player stuff. It has a campaign that gives you different challengs to overcome and a Vs. AI mode as well.
  
• Teaches you to play the game and helps you improve. This game has plenty tutorials and an ingame helper that gives tips on how to improve. This is a great feature for both newcomers and players that want to improve.
  
• Party system. Queue up with friends for some 2v2 ranked or just 4v4 with the boys.
  
• Better balancing and game pacing. There were some cheesy strats in LTD1 (mass sending on wave 7 amrite?) and the game ends earlier, meaning you can more ;)
  
• Great devs that respond quickly. I talked a bit on the offical discord server, and the devs are quick to recognize problems and are quick to solve them. It's rare to see passionate dev teams sometimes, so I thought it was worth pointing out.

The only real criticism I have is the sound effects and voices. Not terrible, but obviously not the charming WC3 sounds you might be used to hear. It's no biggie though, the game plays wonderfully.

I definitely think this game is worth looking at :)

It's a great wizard simulator with a humorous story that you can play alongside your friends! The amount of spells that can be combined is endless and everytime you play, you'll find some new synergy or some sick combo with friends.

HOWEVER, it seems there are some new developers that appearently screwed up the backend, causing the online co-op to crash instantly at completely random moments. And appearently the devs are not going to fix it. It's incredibile frustrating and not fun to get booted constantly. The best you can do is to download an older version of the game. THAT'S INSANE that the devs expect players to do that.

While the game is great, I have to give this a negative review because this issue is HUGE for a game that is centered around co-op :( If you are interested in playing this solo, sure, go ahead and buy it. But be aware that this game is made with co-op in mind.

UPDATE 2024: A user have created a fix for the game https://github.com/pj1234678/MagickaFix - Good to see that the community could fix this. However, insane that it's still in a broken state.

Fun ARPG. Fun but addictive

An excellent RPG. Combat feels impactful, the music is stunning, the world feels very immersive, features a great branching story and has co-op.

If you haven't played this yet, you are missing out on one of the greatest games this generation.
