I cannot recommend the game at its current state. The core gameplay is solid, the melee and gunplay feel solid but everything else feels like it was made for some kind of mobile gatcha game. You want *possibly* better gear? Check in at the shop every hour to *maybe* (most likely not) get a better weapon. Oh you don't want to do that? Then go do contracts. What's that? They're extremely grindy and bugged to the point of not being able to do them at all? Tough luck. Perhaps you want to take your base weapons and upgrade them at Hadron's? Get that ♥♥♥♥ out of here, the crafting system didn't even get implemented yet(and yet the awesome aquila shop was available on launch day, astonishing). Oh you want your character to not look like a prisoner? Go ahead and do the penances which range from "don't have to use your brain" easy to actively making you a liabiliy for your team. You want to do it solo as to not burden your teammates? Go ♥♥♥♥ yourself, no solo mode for you. If penances are not your cup of tea you can always go to the Aquila shop where anything and everything looks cool and you wont have to grind for anything. The only thing you need to do is pull out your credit card to get that Emperor's bling! And better get that wallet open quick! The outfits are limited time only. Once they're gone, they're gone! And no, you cannot get those sweet aquilas in any other way. Oh you don't want to get those god roll (mediocre) weapons or that bling? You just want to play the game? Well you can get bent in that regard as well! The game is stable as ♥♥♥♥ all, you WILL get a backend error, you WILL load mid-mission and you WILL fall through the map and die. And of course you WILL get disconnected towards the end of the mission because ♥♥♥♥ you for just trying to play the game like a normal person.

In all seriousness check this game in a year or so, hopefully FS will get their ♥♥♥♥ sorted by then. Or maybe not. Who knows.

Valheim is a wonderful little game

The gameplay was alright, however the storyline ended abruptly. It all finished on a cliffhanger. (apparently Square-Enix cut the game in half so they can sell two separate games) All of this sneaking around just to get one boss fight that you can finish in less than five minutes? (I was also playing on the give me deus difficulty)
Get this game cheap on a sale or watch a playthrough.

An amazing expirience start to finish, great monster designs and fun fights. The endgame is a masive improvement over base game. The grind doesn't feel nearly as dreadful anymore. If you liked Monster Hunter World and want more you should defiently buy this DLC for another 40 hours of story, and a great endgame that will keep you playing. Capcom is also still releasing big free updates such as Rajang and Safi'jiva with more coming soon.

I recieved this game along with my GTX 1060 graphics card back in 2018. I really didn't know what I was getting into back then.
