The makers and supporters of half-baked, AAA money traps were absolutely right to be afraid of this game! They were afraid that their customers would get a taste of true quality and become unsatisfied with their micro-transaction, money-gated, and mediocre offerings.

Baldur's Gate 3 absolutely oozes with love and care from the people who created it. It deserves the praise 100%. The sheer amount of stuff in this game is crazy. So many times I've tried something to see what would happen, expecting nothing, to find that the game makers had thought of it and put something there.

The detail is amazing, the combat is fun, the replayability is nuts, and the characters are engaging. The only reasons I can foresee people not enjoying this game is if they dislike story heavy games, or dislike turn-based combat. If those things are good to you, you'll love this.
