Game was better with the workshop allowed in Versus. Pretty painful to see it get removed when this game is already 12 years old and there's no competitive modes in it. nothing amounts to anything, it's just all quite literally fun and games. Thanks Valve for getting rid of the community's on official servers. Must be hard being decent while making all that money.

The kinda game that's more fun to watch than play. Sad.

Most toxic game and community I've ever been a part of. Will never play this pile of ♥♥♥♥ again, nothing about it is fun. Also there's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ battle pass now? I don't play games with those.

Reviews must be bot filled cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuz this game is not ready to be played. Spawn in, hypothermia. Get hit once by a zombie? Bleed to death. Make a campfire to get rid of hypothermia? Nah son, campfires don't generate any affect towards body temperature nor do clothing. This game is an instance of "taking itself way to seriously." I can't get passed any care to want to do anything in this game.. This game is literal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on a stick

Game plays like the idea of a Halo game. Ranked Diamond 5 with aim assist using 1 gun the entire time because all of the others are useless. Would highly recommend if you enjoy playing 3v4 matchups with and against aimbots and wallhackers who don't try to hide it. No in game report feature, although there is an entirely working battle pass you get to pay for which by the way each rank takes literally days to get through and when you unlock ♥♥♥♥ it's like.... nothing even cool. I work 40+ hours a week so I don't have the time to grind out a million levels of every game that releases a battle pass for to unlock armor pieces, skins and colors and emotes.. so I don't play them. To the graveyard of uninstalled games this one goes.

An embarrassing release by EA to compete against CoD. It looks and plays like CoD. The only difference is the year the game takes place in. Devs have succumbed to such a low standard in releasing titles and racking the prices up for them that there's no hope for the gaming industry. This game doesn't even play or feel anything related to a Battlefield game and is constantly a reminder that BF4 was the last good title in the franchise. Hell, BF1 and BF5 were even better than this, visually and gameplay wise. This games graphics maxed out looks like the idea of Play-Doh. Not to mention they added everyone's favorite fps mechanic, bloom to the franchise to "even out" the visually disabled from being able to aim and shoot properly. Giving every one a handicap and relying off of rng basically to compete. I've already uninstalled and regret buying this game. This game wouldn't even be worth it 100% free because even then you're still wasting something. Your time.

I gotta say, getting this on it's release date for $9 isn't the end of the world. It's a pretty solid startup for a game. There isn't much content in it just yet but something that's playable with no bugs or really game breaking experiences is solid evidence for a solid game down the road. I'll tell ya, it's the games like these that continue to keep the actual gaming community in tact. Too many people are so ready to drop $60 to a triple A title and get bent because it doesn't even run for 5 minutes. I'll take small content games with promise like this any day over an 8 year delayed, mass profit advertising mess like some game that definitely baited all of our wallets.

With that said, I think the biggest thing going for the casual type of style this has is to make death not so punishable. I mean it already really isn't but when you die from a shadow being at night and you resspawn immediately with no weapon and you can't fight back puts you in a bad spot. Like a devastating spot. The AI definitely need better work. They continuously get stuck on each other and just drop things everywhere. The AI you assign as companions for lack of a better word, seem to have a programming that works as a copy paste situation. Meaning they copy the actions you do instead of doing them with you. Kinda like they're a lagged version of yourself but less smart. Uh, also food storage and building upgrade compatibility. There's access to stone (which doesn't really seem to respawn) and even some stone structures so I don't see why stone housing and building upgrades weren't considered for this game's state of release. either way, an idea at the very least.

I also think that the AI should auto fight back and engage against enemies if they're attacked. The idea too of your axe not doing any damage to anything is dumb, At least let it do half damage especially for the times when you respawn and can't kill anything because you need a sword to do damage but only respawn with an axe instead of all your items. The items don't even drop on the ground at death. They just quite literally disappear off the planet.

Anyways, that's really all for now I suppose. Just some issues and solutions, feedback and ideas is all this is.

I'm glad I waited for this to go on sale to finally buy it because I can't keep forcing myself to try to enjoy this game anymore. 2 hours in and it still just feels like the same thing over and over in the same areas. The story is uninteresting and reading every single piece of lore that's laying around is like reading an entire saga. Very boring.

This has got to be the most well developed put together game I've seen in a long time, and at launch on top of that. Haven't encountered a single bug at all and everything is super solid for a game release. So far this game has a good thing going and I see it hard for the devs to mess something like this up in the future. I doubt they will. This is a promising game.

At the time of review I've got 7 hours in and have been playing it a lot. I only just beat the first boss from what seems like there's several in the game already. This took me by massive surprise. The combat feel really good and for anyone saying "combat sucks because you can't move while you attack" are mindless logs.. You actually can move while you attack, it's just slowed and isn't a bad thing at all. Boss mechanic for the first boss was really solid and easy to pick up and I won't be surprised if the upcoming bosses are just as fun.

Building in this game has got to be my favorite thing about it so far. Not only can you "terraform" the land, but the building structure is super in depth and there's no 1 single way to build your base. Or village at that.. I won't go much more into that because it's fun to explore in creativity yourself.

In summary I'd say this feels like a "souls" game with amazing Norse mythology and without the 1 hit boss wonders. Seriously, the lore in this game is incomparable. Not everything hits you like a truck either but lemme tell you this, if something looks like it's gonna hit you hard then it most likely will. Keep that in mind. So it helps to keep a variety of foods on your Drengr! Because you will become one!

One last thing, hail Odin! :D
