Machine Heart always seems to the best experiences when it comes to games. I'd argue with both Solar Ash and Hyper Light Drift, its more of an experience than a game and for that only I can't recommend this game enough to anyone. It has its flaws such as camera movement and some glitches but that doesn't diminish the experience

Its been a bit since I've gotten invested into a game this much, I've been looking for a game to put hours into sine my play through of Elden Ring and Have a Nice Death, this game has hit that itch I've had. The art style and aesthetic of the really reminds me of an late night adult swim show from how it presents itself and that's one of the things that really captivates me.
There are a few issues overall that do need some addressing, giving this is the first game of a small indie though, talk about a good entrance!

As stated there are a few issues that do need some address, the two main issues I have overall is the parry mechanic and the time it takes to recover. At the beginning of the game you are told that when an enemy attack flashes blue then it can be parried, however the lighting is not synced with the attack itself which makes it really difficult to use any parry. I find myself not using parry for that reason, which even then from where I am at the parry mechanic is just an after thought due to the ease it is to kill enemies.

My other issue has to be the time it takes to recover on getting attacked, it seems extremely inconsistent on any frames you do get, there are times where I have invincibility frames from either getting hit by a laser or a boss and then there are times where it just doesn't exist and I get hit back to back without any way to react. It can be frustrating and extremely unfair when you have no idea how the game is going to react to you getting hit and if you're doing to die off one hit.

Those two issues are my only gripes, otherwise I love this game for what it is and I do think this is a good start for a new studio! Happy to have randomly found this!

Now I may not have much hours in the game so my review maybe a little lack luster then other reviews, but I thoroughly enjoy this game. I mean the characters are likable, the environments are astonishing, the majority of the weapons are just magnificent, and the DLC placement makes sense. When first going into this I already knew about the good reviews and the characters, on how the game plays, ect. I didn't realize how good the game actually is until I first started playing. The games fairly addicting if you have friends to play it with and it kinda gives a mad max feel to it (big fan of that series). Don't get me started on the DLC's, there amazing! And the people complaining about Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, It challenging but not impossible, basically (to me) the dim downed FPS Dark Souls. Thats my review, again not much but eh I say it works

This is my most played and beloved game for a long time, Its been destroyed by bots for years and it needs to be fixed, its not worth playing anymore until the issue is fixed. I am hope valve actually fixes the game
