If your processor is 8 cores or less, you may want to reconsider purchasing this game. Minimum requirements for this game are probably okay if you plan to play in Sandbox mode where you can limit guests. I and many others bought the game to play in Franchise Mode where you can actually manage a zoo. For the first tutorial and a half things went smooth and I was having a good time. I enjoyed a lot about the game. Then the stuttering started...

After about 5 hours of applying fixes proposed by others before me and testing out the games responsiveness, I concluded it as a waste of time.

I was main-lining Stellaris, before I found this game. Initially I said, "Auhg the graphics. No way I'll buy this game." Then I pulled the GTX 1060 out of my high-horsed orifice and bought the game. I played vanilla, died. I played with mods, died. I played the new DLC with mods and died. I just can't stop investing into my people.. my village.

This game is a story-teller and you are half witness, half colony-sentience. Management is the king-maker, but I can't find the time to manage my own life outside of this game. It's radical.

Early Access Review
This game has come a long way and never seems to stop getting better. I'm surprised it's still Early Access considering how fleshed out it is. If your friends don't bail on you this is a real great past time, though randos are, more often than not, accommodating. I play with many non-English speakers-- you can go through a game communicating with only nods, jumps, and "ROCK N STONE TO THE BONE" emotes.

Early Access Review
Weapons, Projectiles, Spells, Traps, and the Combinations of that ever-growing arsenal drives our hero, Lightbulbface, to collect and exchange for them: the dead cells of his vanquished.

Controllers have buffered the experience with fluid movement around the labyrinths and a scale, not unlike Richter's, of rumbling in reaction to the most minute of taps and the deepest bellows.

Replayability is the name of the game. Old school castlevania-kin, with the convenience of portal technology help reward players for their speed. Spelunking for upgrades may cost some time, but prepare you for the trials ahead. Balance those and you're on your way to a game you'll keep coming back to.

Early Access note: it has changed a lot since inception, but never ceases to be fun and challenging. No bugs that I've seen.
