So, the feeling I get from this game is that once you finish Act 1, which takes about 10 hours, including all side missions, you've seen the entire game.

The combat is.....fine. Its probably the most enjoyable part of the game tbh. It gets the job done but its very simple and the enemy variety is lacking. Some enemies serve only to annoy you, and they do a very good job.

The story is.....idk. I went into this game excited by the premise and setting and was looking forward to the story. But I can't say anything really ever grabbed my attention. After 5 or so hours I just tuned all the dialogue out because it all felt so inconsequential.

The graphics are ..... okay. I really dislike the design of the main character, he feels like an antagonist out of an indie rpg that came out in 2010. Maybe thats the point idk. The world is very grimdark, so if grey is your favorite color, youre in luck, youll never see another color. Personally, its just not for me. In general, the graphics look a little dated, but its fine. Nothing really stands out.

The "base" system is sort of cool. Im not huge fan of the injury system which 2 of the main buildings work for. The training system was good. A lot of the upgrades I looked at for the various buildings seemed not that great or interesting, but maybe i didnt look hard enough or maybe i dont remember properly.

All being said, I picked this game up on a big discount and while I really looked forward to this game, after Act 1, I dont think I could manage to suck it up through another 3 acts of what I imagine are basically the same thing.

Absolutely love the time I've spent with the game, but 12+ crashes in 6 hours is ridiculous. And the actual performance is equally horrible, even if you try playing on 1080p with the lowest settings.

Early Access Review
Just about 60 hours in on a server with my boys and we haven't even discovered 20% of the map yet.

Building system is easy to understand, yet allows for a ton of creative builds and systems.
Food/Hunger system is made so that you do not get debuffs for not eating, but rather buffs for eating different foods.
Crafting system/recipes is ridiculous. Even after 60 hours in the game, I think I've maybe come close to discovering 1/3 of the crafting recipes in the game. But I do tend to play the game slower comparatively.
Exploration is limitless nearly. As said earlier, me and the boys are 60 hours in on our world, and I think the most one of us has discovered is maybe 10% of the entire map.
The combat is simple yet rewards careful timing, and some of the bosses can be insanely difficult depending upon the number of players in your server. Speeding through this game can be difficult without the proper progression.

So far I would rate this game 9/10 (we need more building options PLEASE), and it is by far my favorite game of 2021.

PS: Much more enjoyable with friends vs. solo.

So. Lords of the Fallen. 2014 Souls-Like developed by Deck13, is a decent game, but falls short in many areas.

First, the good things. Starting from the beginning, I really liked the intro cinematic, as well as all other cinematics. I thought they were all well-done and they had a WoW-esque vibe to them, which I appreciate. Speaking of WoW, if you like cool, high-fantasy armor, you'll love this game. The combat (at least melee) is satisfying and feels like it carries a lot of weight. Using a two-handed weapon FEELS heavy. Armor is VERY important in this game. With my endgame build, I can pretty much shrug off most enemy attacks, even boss attacks. Of course, I can't roll at all, but why would I need to when I can just trade blows with every single enemy in the game?

Some other pros:

-Nice exploration.
-Nice/simple gear crafting.
-Side quests (although they are boring)

So far so good right? Well yes, but there plenty of issues as well.

After 21 hours in-game, I've just finished my playthrough of New Game +. And most of that time was spent achievement hunting, soo the game is not very long. Like, at all. I will probably attain 100% achievements at some point, however, one of the achievements (The Call of the Void ?) mighhht be bugged.

Most of my other dislikes/nitpicks about the game:

-Soundtrack is hardly noticeable until the final story arc.
-Some enemies require magic to be damaged, which means if you are a warrior-type, well, good luck.
-Can I even call this a souls-like? I mean, the game isn't hard. At all. I died during one boss fight in my first playthrough, and not at all during my second.
-Leveling at a certain point (85+) is utterly impossible without stacking Luck for attribute point drops from chests or mindlessly grinding for hours.
- VERRRRRY vague directions and VERRRY confusing level design at times. Actually, like most of the time, since you are going to be lost for so long.
-Side quests are very meh. Only two are meaningful, and only one of those actually gives you a good reward.
-Main quest is uninteresting and very predictable.
-Game characters are uninteresting and usually very predictable.

All in all, I'd say buy this game on sale. Don't know what full price is, but if its more than $10 it's not worth it.

So 48 minutes into my playthrough of Blood Knights I decided it was not worth my time. Despite this game only taking about 3 hours to complete, its still not worth it.

Here is what made me decide that in the brief time I played it:

+Horrible Performance. Steam FPS counter says 60, but there is no way this game is running above 25 fps.
+Randomly teleporting NPCs. Oh, you thought I was over here? Well actually Im over here now! Now here!
+Bad Lip Syncing. Seriously, sometimes their lips don't even move.
+Hit/Attack Registration. No its not "mechanics" when a boss uses a melee attack on the other side of the arena and I still get knocked back by it.

Positives:
+It's supposed to be a short game.

My review for DOOM after ~20 hours

After seeing and hearing so many good things about this 2016 reboot of a classic game, I decided to pick it up when it was on sale for $6. It was $6 well spent. Had I known I would enjoy this game so much, I would gladly have paid full price for it.

PROS:

-Combat that somehow never gets stale
-A compelling story that isn't too intrusive on gameplay, but will have you wondering what happens next.
-Actually hard to find collectibles.
-A sort of Creation Kit similar to that from the Elder Scrolls series.
-Variety of methods you can use to commit genocide on demons.
-BIG ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GUNS
-BIG ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DEMONS

CON(S):

-The multiplayer and the multiplayer achievements. I really wanted to 100% this game, but that would mean having to grind the multiplayer mode at least a little. However, either I am too noobish to understand what is happening, or there are a good amount of speed hacking, one shotting, max level players in this game. First game I was in, one guy on my team gets 56 - 2, in a TDM mode, where 75 kills wins the match. It's insane. Anyway, I knew I wasn't going to be able to grind MP after seeing that.

MP aside, DOOM is a great FPS-RPG game with a decent story and I recommend it to anyone who is slightly interested in it, especially if it is on sale for 75% off.

So first things first; Valley is a good game. So you might be wondering why I chose to not offer my recommendation. This is for one simple mechanic that they have in-game that I absolutely hate, and has caused me to cancel my playthrough: If you exit the game, then reload, you will be anywhere from 10-30 minutes behind where you last were.

If you can complete the game in one or two sittings, this won't really be an issue. But for me its a deal breaker, I basically have to replay 20 minutes of the game every time I boot it up.

Graphics: 8.5/10 Looks good on Ultra but it takes probably 6+GB of VRAM and a GOOD GPU to run on Ultra.
Performance/Optimization: 7/10 Not that bad honestly, Ive played games much worse optimized like Neverwinter for example. I can run Medium at 60 FPS with a GTX 1060 3GB and 8GB RAM.
Connectivity/Lag: 9/10 I hear alot of complaints about this game being buggy and laggy as hell. Havent seen anything like that on PC yet. Xbox version is horrendous though. Ive CTD once in 35 hours of gameplay.
Gameplay: 9/10 Enjoyable, wish custom games were expanded upon. I personally wouldnt play this solo most of the time as it is just so much more fun with friends.

TL;DR Decent graphics, less than average optimization, infrequent lag or ctd, extremely enjoyable with friends, less so solo.
