Let me just preface by saying I played this game on PSP so much that the disk shell has split into into two. How you may ask? Well, in the words of Angeal: Use brings about Wear, Tear and Rust. And I really did run it non-stop.
Game's exactly how I remember it with a few tweaks and reworked battle system as well as some extra goodies thrown in-between. Insane how big of a difference 15 years of technological advancements can make.
One thing for certain: this is still Crisis Core and it's better in *almost* every way. Game runs flawlessly, without any stuttering or crashes in a lengthy 6 hour long play sesh. Performance is amazing and the game's a joy to play, especially if you've an attachment to these characters as much as I do.
Everything is as you remember it except for some changes to OST and unfortunately a new VA for Zack.
Instead of Zack Fair we got a hybrid of him and Sonic the Hedgehog as he speaks in an incredibly upbeat and almost disconnected way.
I'm not convinced this is the artistic vision Square had tor the character at all and it does bug me the wrong way as he seems to only really have 2 moods: Sonic and Sad.
But it's not all that bad, I do however, remember the original voice fondly and more fitting than this new iteration.

That about sums up my main gripe with the game.
If you've played it before, pick it up. You won't regret it.

Massive thank you to Square Enix for reviving this gem of a game and bringing it back into our lives all these years later. Never would i have thought we'd be getting a remaster of this masterpiece in my lifetime. <3
