The theme, at least to me, seems to be mostly centered around movie guns.

The Desert Eagle makes me feel like I'm a one man army. You can spam it faster than the Bullkick (S&W Model 500) at the cost of an inability to 1SK to the torso. I could even take on Bulldozers with one mag's worth of hits to the face shield.

Spas 12 doesn't quite hold a candle to the FSA-12 shotgun, but the former is pump action and the latter is semi automatic with a magazine. It's fine.

Unsure about the last pistol personally. It's one of a few (if not only) firearm that comes with a suppressor out of the gate so you don't need to grind for it if you only just recently purchased Payday 3 and this DLC and want to jump straight into stealthing.

The animations of the Spas and Deagle are both eye candy however the sound of the guns firing, particularly the latter, doesn't sound that great. If I were to give a pointer, I would say look to something like Receiver 2 if you'd want a more punchier, more visceral sounding gun like the Deagle SHOULD be.

Friendly AI is thick headed, will not help you and get themselves killed.

Shotgun is a vicious (for a non-Overkill weapon) Bulldozer killer, about as effective as the FSA-12G as despite being slightly limited in DPS because of the burst delay. It's also not the final word in terms of ammo efficiency as most enemies will die with a shot to the head, resulting in two wasted shots if not transferring the aim to enemies quickly enough or in an area where they are bottlenecked.

Doesn't beat the HET-5 as that can kill with two bodyshots but will still work in a pinch so long as there is cover between you and his shotgun.

As a hopeless shotgun + ammo funnel main, I approve.

Famas and M93 Raffica are also nice though the latter is still rather overshadowed by the Bullkick revolver.

Constantly showed Houston the middle finger as Hoxton thanks to the new animations in the interaction menu.

Old habits die hard.

Frankly, it's always easy to say things with hindsight but this game, while not great, is a deal better than Payday 3 at its current stage.

Graphics sucks, though I guess that's just true of things made in the Diesel engine. This, to me, has been sort of made up with the Raiders having a decent bit of character, no Bain, Locke or Shade to yell in your ear at regular intervals. These gentlemen know how to get stuff done and don't need reminders as if they were plagued with short term memory.

Stealth differs a bunch from Payday 2, initially you will be taking it slow and choosing your fights with your melee weapon of choice until you unlock the Welrod (as nothing else is and can be suppressed), it's not the fastest thing in the world, its reload is also weird (cocking the pistol despite having a round in the chamber) but it is invaluable for stealth runs.

Firearms, with the exception of the aforementioned Welrod, sound like peashooters. Enemies like the sniper are annoyingly silent and could fly under the radar until you go down without an audible cue that there is a sniper shooting.

AI is kind of useless, they will shoot enemies but they will not even carry crates of gold or other loot for you or assist with extinguishing the flares that call in artillery barrages.

Unlike Payday 2 and 3, you will not be told in clear text that an assault is happening and you will have to listen for the music to ramp up. Not the biggest fan of this personally but I guess it does tell you one way or another.

You can carry more loot depending on what class you play but will be locked out from using some heavier firearms, makes sense.

There is a sense of progression when levelling up both yourself, your equipment and abilities although the "kill x amount of enemies" is perhaps the worst weapon challenge.

War cries have been a little hit or miss, for the time being they do not do anything special IMHO. This might change as I progress further into the game.

Content is light and the foundations might not always be the most stable, but when it doesn't bug out on you there is a reasonable amount of fun to be had. It's a bloody shame that this game doesn't have a lot more in terms of missions, but I'll just have to make do for the time being.

Almost forgot. They're (at least subjectively) superior in that I have total control, no sitting in circles to let the mission progress like in Payday 3.

Maybe like the recent major update would imply, this game might have a resurgence. I kind of hope it does.

You get nothing of particular benefit from purchasing this DLC, if you didn't get it when it was free then don't bother. This is just Sega trying to nickel and dime you for frivolous things.

Of course because this is marked as being purchased with a licence key or received as a gift, this review, as well as many others, won't count towards the overall Steam rating on the top.

Costs 10€ without discounts, plays more or less the same in loud, unsure about stealth because I have not successfully tried it.

I dig the track that this heist brings with it, shame it's only exclusive to it. Give us our jukebox like we had in Payday 2!

All fine and dandy until you're stuck up crap creek without a paddle because you haven't seen a single charge point during your entire trip.

Starbreeze quick with the power creep as usual, it seems.

G3/RG5 AR is basically a sidegrade to the Scar-H/VF-7S at the very least.

Bullkick 500 would've been too strong with a hipfire comparable to the other revolvers, never mind that it's (presumably) the in-game equivalent of .500 Smith and Wesson. Really good revolver nonetheless, able to one-shot most enemies to the torso and shields through the glass pane.

Haven't tried the MP5/ATK-7 submachine gun but I wouldn't be surprised if that's also a sidegrade to the MP7/Compact 7.

i'm just so damn bored from putting time into this call of duty ahh weapon levelling system
