Disclaimer: I was a betatester for this game and probably a bit biased because of that, I guess.

This is an actual NES game in under 40kbytes (that's the same limitations the original Super Mario Bros. had!). With those limitations it looks, sounds and plays amazing! You can even play it with 3 other friends, if you want to, which is quite fun. The multiplayer is comparable to games like Zelda: Four Swords Adventures. You can either help your friends or hinder them to reach more points than them.

Compared to other games for the NES, Micro Mages is more on the easier side, even in hard mode. The game is also not very long, but has a lot of replay-value, because of secrets, multiplayer and high-score hunts. Getting into speedrunning of the game is also quite accessible.

Clear recommendation, because of all the love, care and SOUL that went into this game.
