The game attempts to be similar to the classic board game risk, Using RNG (Much like dice rolls) to determine battle outcomes as you aim to take over areas on the map.


The game tries to expand by adding a little more depth by adding a couple of different building possible on each area.


However due to awful game design and clear lack of testing, there is little need for any of these buildings with the current balance. Each different AI colour seems to favour a certain strategy, all are bad and easy to just steamroll.



Having played 1000s of games of risk(lux) online and a load of other board games I thought this would be enjoyable, however due to small maps, bad game balance and bad AI this game is a huge failure and not worth the FREE pricetag which I paid for the game.

This is game is almost the same as the original Age of Castles (Which I bought in 2006)

The game is very simplistic and easy to win. No real strategy required, brute forcing the game by spamming days is even enough to win.

I still get some mild enjoyment and satisfaction out of the game but it is quite hollow due to the little effort and how short the game is.

Game takes no more than an hour to complete so definately a long way from the £3.99 price tag, may recommend if it were -90%

Awful multiplayer full of issues most of which make it impossible to get on, no real solution to the issue out there and from what I can tell ubisoft support are useless, do not buy if you wanted it for the multiplayer (like i did)
