In a nutshell, it's Marvelwatch. If you liked Overwatch, it'll probably be your thing. It's not mine, but it's still enjoyable enough that I'll tolerate it to play with friends.

It's solid, despite some design decisions that I personally don't think make for fun gameplay.

Early Access Review
I genuinely don't understand the love for this game. It's an asset flip with clunky controls, clunky combat and clunky AI behaviour, and It's missing basic quality-of-life features present in most other extraction shooter type games.

War crime simulator with survival elements. What's not to love?

Probably the least-polished gem of a game you'll ever see.

The game is okay. Good as far as free-to-play games go. It used to be horrendously overrun with cheaters and extreme no-lifers, but with the player count dropping in recent times, the game has actually improved significantly overall.

I would recommend this game; with caveats.

The game does an exceptional job of setting the tone and telling its story and is worth playing for that alone, but the gameplay style is definitely not for everyone. Ixion is, as other reviews have mentioned, a difficult and very micromanagement-heavy game. Don't even touch the time acceleration; the temptation to speed things up will be your doom. Your station is balanced on a knife's edge and things can go very wrong very fast if you're not paying attention.

- Story is good, though more voice acting would have been nice
- Music is great and fits the game perfectly; I've been listening to the soundtrack while doing chores around the house!
- Gameplay has flaws, but it might just be your cup of tea

An update: I initially wrote this review midway through chapter 2. I've now finished the game, and have a few more thoughts. I ran into a couple more annoying bugs, but they were always resolved easily by saving and reloading. I found myself always running low on resources in the early game, but in the mid to late game, my biggest challenge was figuring out where to put all my resources! I do agree that the balance could use some minor tweaks; primarily to reduce the amount of resources available in the later game to keep the pressure on. However, as it stands, the game is a very solid 8/10 for me. Challenging, enjoyable, and with some very interesting world-building.

It's not a perfect game; there are some balance issues, some of the design choices are questionable, some mechanics aren't well-explained (more tool tips, please!), and the "Blue Mars" DLC is practically required to play the game, but the story is well-told, the game is overall pretty fun to play, and the soundtrack is very fitting and easy to listen to. If you enjoy relaxed city-building and resource management games, this is a good one. I'd recommend picking it up on sale just for the story, and if you have friends who enjoy the genre, play co-op!

A small turn-based free-for-all strategy game with simple rules that lead to a lot of complex emergent gameplay.

If you're not familiar with Paradox grand strategy games, it'll probably be pretty overwhelming at first. Once you learn how to play, it's incredibly engrossing.
