This game will not only be well designed and well written, it will also train your brain to overcome hardship.

FromSoftware is one of the last gaming companies that gives me hope for the future of gaming.

After the planet of Sony was liberated in the name of superearth we can return our focus to the Automatons and Terminids.

We dive together or not at all.

Pretty interesting Souls-Like

Gives you that Dark Souls Vibe but with a sci-fi setting and some new mechanics like acquiring gear by chopping off peoples limps.

The finishing moves stuff does seem kinda weird sometimes though.

Been looking forward to this game for a very long time, after having played Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (PSP version) I was pretty hooked.

The game looks beautiful and it feels really good, the difficulty is not too hard but not too easy either. The new mechanics are amazing, I love the tracking, the flies, the monster cutscenes. Feel like most of the game gets explained well enough as you progress.

I see quite a few complaints about various aspects of the game and I want to chime in here.

-Mouse and Keyboard controls are bad
I get it's pretty annoying and hopefully the new fix makes it better, however I do think people should just invest in a controller, not just for this game but just for gaming in general. A controller is not a console thing, it's a gaming accessory that makes some games feel better to play, same reason why people buy steering wheels for car games. Just use the right tool for the right job.

-Multiplayer Disconnects
This one is also pretty annoying but from my experience it doesn't hinder you playing the game, if you get disconnected you still continue your fight just without your friends. Most of my multiplayer sessions are successful though.

Alien Isolation is honestly a pretty mediocre game, it's very repitive, I feel like I do a lot to progress in the story.

Most of the game is basically a cat and mouse scenario where you try to hide or blast your flamethrower at that cat and bum rush it.

The story isn't even that interesting, it's just survival with a little sprinke of story once in a while but it ain't much, felt like I spent half the game searching for friends or finding a special med kid to help them survive. I was honestly desperate for the game to be over at the end, felt like it dragged on for a while.

Some of the good things about this game is that it is pretty tense and has a very dark atmosphere. It is scary sure but once you've died a few times you kinda get over it.

I don't think I can count the amount of times I have thrown my hands up in the air and been like "What the ♥♥♥♥ man" at this kinda cool but weirdly programmed alien.

The game is too inconsistant to play on higher difficulties to be honest.

TL;DR: Play it on easy difficulty and just go through the game and enjoy the tense ride.

This game has some of the best Atmosphere I have ever experienced.

One moment you are terrified, you scream, you run, you hide, you overcome and you get a moments respite to solve some interesting puzzles that makes you forget how terrified you were and how terrified you will be in a moment.

Doesn't matter how scary the game gets, the story is so good that you HAVE to keep going and when you finally reach the end you are rewarded big time and as you see the familiar menu after enduring hell you sit in complete euphorism about what just happened.

Are you real? What is real?

I've completed the game 3 times now, all in different ways.

First run was a joy
Second run was a challenge
Third run was even more amazing story

What do every run have in common? Every one of them hits you right in the feels...
