The game itself is alright, visuals are okay the sound and gameplay are good as well.

HOWEVER, the performance is where the pain begins. It's appalling to say the least.
- There is a small but noticable input lag, for a somewhat fast paced shooter having little to no input lag is essential.
- The game freezes every 30 seconds for 1 to 2 seconds. Not only is this seriously spoiling my experience, it also locks up any key(s) pressed when the game freezes and so far the only way I know to fix it is by getting killed :/
- The game tends to crash quite often as well.

I am aware that this is an Early Access game, but for a game like this it is essential to perform without too many hiccups.

For now I am giving this game a thumbs down, I will revisit this on a later day to see if any of these performance issues have been resolved. The game in this state is barely playable.

It's amazing how bad it is. Terrible controls (buttons to center the cursor, really?), even my own farts sound better than the music and not to begin about the point of this game which still puzzles me.

So yeah, unless you wish to troll your friends, don't buy this game ;)

Sent the king some pink underwear, queen was jealous, the king hates me now. 11/10 would insult him again.

On a more serious note, I think Tropico 5 is an awesome game, also a lot more challenging compared to Tropico 4 which was a bit too easy for my taste. (but still an awesome game though!) The game looks and feels a lot less like you have to run some 3rd world country. Besides that, being able to actually control where the crops grow is one of the best new features in the game; in previous versions the crops fields were randomly scattered around the farm buildings.

All in all the game is definitely a major improvement and definitely worth buying if you enjoyed the previous games, or if you are interested in the genre. I'm most certainly going to 'waste' hours of my life on this game, and I'm sure many others will as well, the game is that good in my opinion :)
