One of the best medieval RPGs by far. It comfortably sits alongside other favorite titles of mine such as Skyrim and the Souls Series and has the potential to be far greater by the time it reaches completion.
A friend of mine once described Exanima as "Dark Souls meets QWOP" (Credit to Dunkas), and when mixed with Bare Mettle's extraordinary physics engine, that is a fitting description for what this game is like.
If you liked the challenging gameplay of Dark Souls, then this is not a game you will want to pass up, just be ready to spend some time in the practice arena learning how to fight as the learning curve, although a worthy challenge, is a steep one.
Currently there are 5 levels in Exanime but Bare Mettle is planning to have 16 in total before release. Bugs have become almost inexistant. As for optimization, I can run Exanima on max settings and it runs smoother than any other game I have played, especially for an early access title.

Patiently awaiting the next big update and drooling over the thought of the sequel game Sui Generis...
